Method for reducing fouling in catalytic cracking

A method is disclosed for reducing fouling in catalytic cracking. The method includes subjecting a recycled fossil-based feedstock to a heat treatment, evaporating the heat-treated feedstock, hydrotreating resulting evaporation distillate and performing catalytic cracking of the hydrotreated distillate in a presence of a solid acid catalyst.

PROCESSES AND SYSTEMS FOR MAKING RECYCLE CONTENT HYDROCARBONS THROUGH A PROPYLENE FRACTIONATOR

Processes and systems for making recycle content hydrocarbons, including olefins, from recycled waste material. Recycle waste material may be pyrolyzed to form recycle content pyrolysis oil composition (r-pyoil), at least a portion of which may then be cracked to form a recycle content olefin composition (r-olefin). The r-olefin may then be further separated into product streams in a separation zone downstream of the cracker furnace. The presence of recycle content hydrocarbons may facilitate more efficient operation of one or more distillation columns in the separation zone, including the propylene fractionator.

PROCESSES AND SYSTEMS FOR MAKING RECYCLE CONTENT HYDROCARBONS THROUGH AN ETHYLENE FRACTIONATOR

In some cases, presence of recycle content hydrocarbons may facilitate more efficient operation of one or more distillation columns in the separation zone, including the deethanizer and ethylene fractionator.

A method for separating a lubrication oil from a waste fluid includes separating water from the waste fluid by heating the waste fluid while sealed in a first vacuum chamber to a first temperature and first pressure. Fuel oil is separated from a fluid received from the first vacuum chamber by heating the fluid while sealed in a second vacuum chamber to a second temperature that is higher than the first temperature and at a second pressure. Finally, the lubrication oil is separated from a fluid received from the second vacuum chamber by heating the fluid received from the second vacuum chamber while sealed in a third vacuum chamber to a third temperature that is higher than the second temperature and at a third pressure.

Thermal process to transform contaminated or uncontaminated feed materials into useful oily products

The process is for thermally treating a feed material. The process comprises at least one step performed in a rotating kiln operating under positive pressure with a pressure control system and wherein in the process a sweep gas, that is an inert gas or a substantially non-reactive gas, is injected into the rotating kiln or in the feed stream entering the rotating operating kiln; or at least one step performed in a rotating kiln operating under positive pressure managing system; or at least one step performed in a rotating kiln wherein a sweep gas is injected in the rotating kiln or in the feed stream entering the rotating operating kiln. In step a), or in b) or in step c), the conditions of the thermal treatment are managed in order that the exit stream, after cooling, result in at least one liquid phase that is preferably essentially an oily liquid phase.

Method for Producing Base Lubricating Oil from Waste Oil

A method for recovering base oil from waste lubricating oil by separating base oil range constituents from a waste lubricating oil mixture, thereafter separating higher quality base oil constituents and lower quality base oil constituents from the base oil recovered from the waste lubricating oil mixture and thereafter treating the lower quality base oil constituents to produce marketable base oil. The total base oil produced from a waste lubricating oil mixture by this process is greater than the quantity producible by previous processes using only base oil separation from the waste lubricating oil mixture or processes which use only treatment of the base oil recovered from the waste lubricating oil mixture to produce the product base oil.

EMERGENCY DISTILLATION COLUMN AND USE THEREOF

An emergency distillation column is disclosed, connected to a plant wherein a main distillation column is present. Such connection occurs by means of by-pass of the pipes which supply said main column, which by-pass has stopping means of the liquid which allow the supply of said emergency column when the pressure drops downstream of the main column exceed a preset threshold value. Preferably, said stopping means are shut-off valves. A process of using the emergency is involves continuously measuring a pressure different between inflow and outflow of liquid being distilled and comparing the measured pressure against a dedicated threshold. A plant for the regeneration of waste oils is disclosed, comprising a distillation column, which furthermore comprises the emergency distillation column as disclosed herein.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CLEANING CONTAMINATED USED OIL

The invention relates to a method and a device for cleaning contaminated used oil, in which starting material is heated to the gas phase and the resultant vapor is rectified, with purified oil being removed as condensate from a drain in a rectification column. This enables efficient operation even in the smallest of systems, such that a compact system configuration and thus in particular mobile use by a container structure is made possible. The invention also reduces the cost required for servicing. The used oil is subjected to an evaporation process by at least indirectly placing the starting material in contact with a melting bath, the melting temperature of which is above the evaporation temperature but below the ignition temperature of the used oil, and by rectifying the vapor in the rectification column.
