CHEMICAL SYNTHESIS PLANT
A plant, such as a hydrocarbon plant, is provided, which has a syngas stage for syngas generation and a synthesis stage where the syngas is synthesized to produce syngas derived product, such as hydrocarbon product. The plant makes effective use of various streams; in particular CO.sub.2 and H.sub.2. The plant does not comprise an external feed of hydrocarbons. A method for producing a product stream, such as a hydrocarbon product stream is also provided.
Feedstock processing systems and methods for producing fischer-tropsch liquids and transportation fuels
A method for processing feedstock is described, characterized in that incoming feedstock is processed to selectively recover biogenic carbon material from the incoming feedstock. In some embodiments the incoming feedstock is comprised of mixed solid waste, such as municipal solid waste (MSW). In other embodiments the incoming feedstock is comprised of woody biomass. In some instances, the incoming feedstock is processed to selectively recover biogenic carbon material from the incoming feedstock to produce a processed feedstock having biogenic carbon content of 50% and greater suitable for conversion into biogenic carbon Fischer Tropsch liquids. The high biogenic carbon Fischer Tropsch liquids may be upgraded to biogenic carbon liquid fuels. Alternatively, the incoming feedstock is processed to selectively recover plastic material from the incoming feedstock to produce a processed feedstock having biogenic carbon content of 50% or less.
PYROLYSIS GAS PURIFICATION/COOLING DEVICE, PYROLYSIS GAS PURIFICATION/COOLING METHOD, ORGANIC SUBSTANCE PRODUCTION DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING ORGANIC SUBSTANCE
Provided are a method for producing an organic substance and a device for producing an organic substance that are capable of efficiently cooling a synthesis gas and of converting the synthesis gas to an organic substance at a high conversion efficiency using a microbial catalyst. A thermally decomposed gas purification/cooling device including a gasification furnace 10 that gasifies waste to generate a thermally decomposed gas, a cyclone 11 through which the thermally decomposed gas discharged from the gasification furnace 10 is passed to recover a dust component in the thermally decomposed gas, and a heat exchanger 20 through which the thermally decomposed gas that has passed through the cyclone 11 is passed to be cooled.
Chemical synthesis plant
A plant, such as a hydrocarbon plant, is provided, which consists of a syngas stage for syngas generation and a synthesis stage where said syngas is synthesized to produce syngas derived product, such as hydrocarbon product. The plant makes effective use of various streams; in particular CO.sub.2 and H.sub.2. The plant does not comprise an external feed of hydrocarbons. A method for producing a product stream, such as a hydrocarbon product stream is also provided.
Integrated production of hydrogen, petrochemicals, and power
A processing facility is provided. The processing facility includes an asphaltenes and metals (AM) removal system configured to process a feed stream to produce a power generation stream, a hydroprocessing feed stream, and an asphaltenes stream. A power generation system is fed by the power generation feed stream. A hydroprocessing system is configured to process the hydroprocessing feed stream to form a gas stream and a liquid stream. A hydrogen production system is configured to produce hydrogen, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide from the gas feed stream. A carbon dioxide conversion system is configured to produce synthetic hydrocarbons from the carbon dioxide, and a cracking system is configured to process the liquid feed stream.
BIOMASS GASIFICATION DEVICE
The biomass gasification device described in this embodiment is equipped with temporary holding sections (10)(20) that temporarily hold and discharge heat carriers (30). The temporary holding section has a vessel (111)(121) and a discharge section (119)(129) for discharging the heat carriers. A baffle (115)(125) within the vessel (111)(121) is provided to form a gap between the main body of the baffle and the interior side wall of the vessel, for the heat carriers (30) to pass through. Alternatively, piping (131)(141) may be provided on the interior side walls of the vessel (111)(121) for passage of the heat carriers.
PRODUCTION METHOD FOR ORGANIC SUBSTANCE AND ORGANIC SUBSTANCE PRODUCTION DEVICE
The production method for an organic substance comprises: a step of feeding waste (G0) to a dryer (13); a step of drying the waste (G0) by the dryer (13); a step of feeding the waste (G0) dried by the dryer (13) to a gasifier (14); a step of gasifying the waste (G0) by the gasifier (14) to generate synthetic gas (G1); and a step of bringing the synthetic gas (G1) into contact with a microbial catalyst to generate an organic substance.
Production of acrylic acid and ethanol from carbonaceous materials
A process for producing acrylic acid from carbonaceous materials such as biomass. The carbonaceous material, such as biomass, is gasified to produce synthesis gas. The synthesis gas then is subjected to a plurality of reactions to produce acrylic acid.
DIRECT COUPLED ATMOSPHERIC CARBON REDUCTION DEVICE WITH HYDROGEN UTILIZATION
Combining multiple subsystems involving biomass processing, biomass gasification of the processed biomass where a synthesis gas is produced then converted to hydrogen fuels or other transportation fuels for use in coupled transportation systems sized to consume all the transportation fuel produced. Carbon in the biomass is converted to CO.sub.2 in the conversion process and a portion of that CO.sub.2 is captured and sequestrated for long term storage.
