A method is provided for reprocessing a petroleum-based waste oil feedstock into diesel fuel. The method includes forming a treated feedstock by (a) filtering the feedstock, thereby removing solids and metals from the feedstock, and (b) dehydrating the feedstock; vaporizing the treated feedstock to produce an oil vapor; passing the oil vapor through at least one catalyst bed and subsequently through a cooler, thereby converting the oil vapor to a hydrocarbon liquid product with a diesel product boiling point range; and removing contaminants from the hydrocarbon liquid product, wherein the contaminants are selected from the group consisting of particulates and color precursors.

METHOD OF PREPARING STABILIZED FUEL OIL AND THE SAME PRODUCED THEREFROM

The present invention relates to a process for preparing an asphaltene-stabilized fuel oil comprising (i) mixing an asphaltene-containing oil fraction(s) and a high-saturated hydrocarbon oil fraction(s) to obtain a mixture of oil fractions; and (ii) filtering the obtained mixture through a filtering medium, and the asphaltene-stabilized fuel oil obtained therefrom.

Coal powder pretreatment method and coal powder gasification method

Disclosed are a pulverized coal preprocessing method and a pulverized coal gasifying method. The pulverized coal preprocessing method comprises the following steps: (1) performing pore broadening on pulverized coal to obtain preprocessed pulverized coal; (2) loading alkali metal ions into the preprocessed pulverized coal under an ion exchange condition to obtain alkali metal loaded pulverized coal. The method further comprises loading a chrome complex into the alkali metal loaded pulverized coal obtained in described step (2). In gasification, the pulverized coal loaded with alkali metal potassium and chrome catalysts obtained by the method has the advantages of high sulphur removal rate, high carbon conversion rate, short gasifying reaction time and high methane production.

A method of producing a gas mixture, said method comprising the steps of: a) subjecting water to electrolysis to obtain a hydrogen gas stream and an oxygen gas stream; b) reacting the hydrogen gas stream with solid carbon to obtain a stream comprising hydrocarbon gas, such as methane gas; and c) mixing the oxygen gas stream with the stream comprising hydrocarbon gas.

LIGNITE TRANSIENT DEHYDRATION UPGRADING AND TEMPERATURE AND PRESSURE INSTANT GENERATION DEVICE SYSTEM

The present disclosure relates to a lignite transient dehydration upgrading and temperature and pressure instant generation device system. Materials are added by a feeding device above the steam dehydration system and enter a feeding area, at the moment, a sealing valve is opened, an internal material platform is pushed forwards in a rotary mode, wet materials enter a dehydration area, and then the sealing valve is closed after dry materials enter. Saturated steam is added into the device by the steam generation system, then the device is adjusted to be in a high-temperature and high-pressure state by the electric control system, and the pressure is continuously stabilized for a certain period of time. The sealing valve is then opened, the dry materials enter a discharging area and then are discharged by a conveying belt, while new wet materials enter the dehydration area accordingly to begin the next round of dehydration.

Photo-bioreactor and filter unit integration for separation of algae biomass

A system for growing and harvesting algae biomass includes a photo-bioreactor suitable for algae growth in water and a filter unit in fluid communication with the photo-bioreactor. An algae slurry, when at least partially contained within the photo-bioreactor, generates hydrostatic fluid pressure that exclusively drives the algae slurry to the filter unit and discharges a permeate.

Methods and systems for liquid separations

Methods and systems for separating liquid components are disclosed. A vessel is provided containing a solids conveyance device. At least a first portion of the vessel acts as an indirect-contact heat exchanger and a second portion of the vessel contains a filter. A process liquid stream, containing a first component and a second component, is passed into the first portion of the vessel. A portion of the second component is frozen and entrained in the first portion of the vessel into the process liquid stream, resulting in a process slurry stream. The process slurry stream is passed into a second portion of the vessel by the solids conveyance device. The process slurry stream is separated into a solid product stream and a primary liquid product stream by passing the primary liquid product stream through the filter and out of the vessel while separately removing the solid product stream out of the vessel.
