SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR BLENDING HYDROGEN GAS
A system and method for automated blending of hydrogen gas with traditional fuels, such as natural gas, to produce a consistent stream of precision-blended flow with a single customizable, movable and modular unit that is automatically controlled, is disclosed. The system and method includes a self-contained modular unit, automatic flow control computers and systems, which are configured to automatically adjust the hydrogen blend for variable flow and pressures present in an existing distribution system, varying hydrogen and natural gas flow rates to maintain a repeatable percentage of hydrogen without manual operation.
APPARATUS, COMPOSITIONS, AND METHODS FOR MAKING SOLID METHANE GAS
The present invention is directed to a process that produces solid methane gas that is stable at room temperature such that the solid methane gas is capable of storage and shipment without specialized equipment. The process includes an apparatus for preparing solid methane gas, a method for using the apparatus, a method for preparing mixtures for use with the apparatus and resulting compositions. Solid methane gas is obtained by using a sophisticated apparatus and solid methane gas complexes having many different ingredients and ingenious methods. Methane gas flows through the sophisticated apparatus to be cooled and ultimately mixed with the solid methane bed complex at subzero Celsius conditions to create solid methane that is stable at room temperature. This solid methane is capable of being turned back into methane gas.
Floating photobioreactors for algae biofuel production and devices and methods related thereto
Apparatuses including offshore porous floating bioreactors for containing algae water slurries in a saltwater environment. The porous floating bioreactors include a top portion and a bottom portion. At least a portion of the top portion is composed of a first transparent material and at least a portion of the bottom portion is porous. The offshore porous floating bioreactors may be deployed in a saltwater environment to facilitate one or both of cultivation or lipid induction of an algae water slurry contained therein.
Methods, systems, and devices for liquid hydrocarbon fuel production, hydrocarbon chemical production, and aerosol capture
Methods, systems, and devices for liquid hydrocarbon fuel production, hydrocarbon chemical production, and aerosol capture are provided. For example, a carbon-oxygen-hydrogen (C—O—H) compound may be heated to a temperature of at least 800 degrees Celsius such that the C—O—H compound reacts through a non-oxidation reaction to generate at least a hydrocarbon compound that may be at least a component of a liquid hydrocarbon fuel or a hydrocarbon chemical. The liquid hydrocarbon fuel may be a liquid when at a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius. The C—O—H compound may include biomass. In some cases, the hydrocarbon compound produced through the non-oxidation reaction includes a hydrocarbon aerosol form as the hydrocarbon compound at least as it is produced or cools. Some embodiments include aerosol capture methods, systems, and devices, which may include passing a hydrocarbon aerosol form through a material in a liquid phase in order to gather the aerosol material.
Natural gas liquid fractionation plant waste heat conversion to simultaneous power and potable water using kalina cycle and modified multi-effect-distillation system
Flowing a first buffer fluid and a second buffer fluid through a heat exchanger network thermally coupled to heat sources of a Natural Gas Liquid (NGL) fractionation plant, and transferring heat from the heat sources to the first buffer fluid and the second buffer fluid. Generating power via a first sub-system thermally coupled to the heat exchanger network and generating potable water from brackish water via a second sub-system thermally coupled to the heat exchanger network.
PROCESS FOR FORMING A SOLID FUEL COMPOSITION FROM MIXED SOLID WASTE
Systems and methods of producing a solid fuel composition are disclosed. In particular, systems and methods for producing a solid fuel composition by heating and mixing a solid waste mixture below atmospheric pressure to a maximum temperature sufficient to melt the mixed plastics within the solid waste mixture is disclosed.
