ETHER CARBOXYLIC ACID COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to a composition comprising at least an ether carboxylic acid. The present invention also relates to the method for obtaining of the composition and to the use of the composition in industrial applications such as engine oil compositions, metal working compositions, lubricant compositions and oil fuel compositions.
Polyamide compositions comprising a polyamide 6,6 and a blend of high chain-length polyamides, use thereof, and articles obtained therefrom
The present invention provides polyamide compositions comprising (a) at least one polyamide mixture; (b) at least one reinforcing filler; (c) at least one heat stabilizer; and (d) at least one ionic lubricant, wherein the (a) at least one polyamide mixture is formed from (i) a polyamide 6,6, the amount of AEG being greater than the amount of CEG, and (ii) a blend of a first high chain-length polyamide having viscosity number (VN) of X.sub.1 and a second high chain-length polyamide having VN of X.sub.2, X.sub.1 being greater than X.sub.2. The polyamide composition can be advantageously used to produce articles exhibiting enhanced chemical resistance, notably CaCl.sub.2 salt crack resistance, such as radiator end tank in an automobile.
Metalworking fluid
A metalworking fluid includes a pH buffer system having one or more organic acids and one or more organic amines. The organic acids, which include aromatic carboxylic acids and C.sub.10 or higher aliphatic carboxylic acids, may replace boric acid, such that boric acid may be excluded from the metalworking fluid. The organic acids may include at least one of phthalic acid, isophthalic acid, and terephthalic acid. The one or more organic amines include aliphatic and aromatic amines having an amine value of at least 50 mg KOH/g. A method of using the metalworking fluid includes shaping a metal by contacting the metal surface with a tool while cooling and lubricating at least one of the metal surface or tool with the metalworking fluid.
