DEPOSITION COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING SAME
A deposition composition includes a solvent comprising a hydrofluorothioether compound represented by the following general formula (I): Rf—S—Rh where Rf is a fluorinated or perfluorinated group having 2-9 carbon atoms and optionally includes one or more catenated heteroatoms or chlorine atoms, and Rh is a non-fluorinated hydrocarbon group having 1-3 carbon atoms. The deposition composition further includes a coating material that is soluble or dispersible in said solvent.

HEAT TREATMENT OIL COMPOSITION
A quench oils composition containing a sulfur compound capable of improving the brightness of a metal material after a heat treatment, such as quenching, while preventing the sulfur content from being excessively increased. This is achieved by a quench oils composition containing one or more base oil selected from a mineral oil, a synthetic oil, and a vegetable oil, and one or more sulfur-containing aromatic compound selected from a particular sulfide compound and a particular sulfone compound.
LUBRICATING COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF LUBRICATING AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
The disclosed technology provides a lubricating composition and a method of lubricating an internal combustion engine where the lubricating composition contains an oil of lubricating viscosity, one or more metal-containing, sulfur-free, alkyl-phenol based detergents, an alkaline earth metal sulfonate detergent, a polyisobutenyl succinimide dispersant, and a dispersant viscosity modifier having a number average molecular weight of at least 20,000.
The lubricating composition of the present invention can be formulated to have lower HTHS viscosity, and reduced phosphorous content, while providing protection against adhesive wear.
