WATER-BASED COATING AGENT COMPOSITION, WATER-BASED LUBRICATING FILM PAINT COMPOSITION COMPRISING SAME, AND MEMBER
An aqueous coating agent composition includes (A) a curable resin in the form of an aqueous emulsion, (B) a surfactant, (C) solid particles, (D) one or more nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds, and (E) water. In various embodiments, component (C) includes a solid lubricant, and for reasons of environmental regulations, component (D) includes 1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazolidinone.

The invention relates to a polymer or oligomer comprising a) An oligomeric or polymeric core comprising carbon atoms and at least one of oxygen atoms and nitrogen atoms, and b) at least three hydrocarbyl terminal and/or pending groups having 12 to 100 carbon atoms, wherein the hydrocarbyl groups are linked to the core via c) a linking moiety comprising i) a urethane group and ii) a group selected from urethane group, urea group, and biuret group.
COMPOSITION FOR SLIDING MEMBER AND SLIDING MEMBER

The first coating film layer including a coating film including a composition for a sliding member. The composition for a sliding member contains a binder resin, a solid lubricant, and at least one type of resin beads selected from the group consisting of amino resin beads and urethane resin beads. The second coating film layer includes the binder resin and the solid lubricant.
Low-friction fluorinated coatings
Low-friction fluorinated coatings are disclosed herein. A preferred low-friction material contains a low-surface-energy fluoropolymer having a surface energy between about 5 mJ/m.sup.2 to about 50 mJ/m.sup.2, and a hygroscopic material that is covalently connected to the fluoropolymer in a triblock copolymer, such as PEG-PFPE-PEG. The material forms a lubricating surface layer in the presence of humidity. An exemplary copolymer comprises fluoropolymers with average molecular weight from 500 g/mol to 20,000 g/mol, wherein the fluoropolymers are (α,ω)-hydroxyl-terminated and/or (α,ω)-amine-terminated, and wherein the fluoropolymers are present in the triblock structure T-(CH.sub.2—CH.sub.2—O)—CH.sub.2—CF.sub.2—O—(CF.sub.2—CF.sub.2—O).sub.m(CF.sub.2—O).sub.n—CF.sub.2—CH.sub.2—(O—CH.sub.2—CH.sub.2).sub.p-T where T is a hydroxyl or amine terminal group, p=1 to 50, m=1 to 100, and n=1 to 100. The copolymer also contains isocyanate species and polyol or polyamine chain extenders or crosslinkers possessing a functionality of preferably 3 or greater. These durable, solvent-resistant, and transparent coatings reduce insect debris following impact.

Microencapsulation of chemical additives
The present disclosure relates to new and optimized processes for the preparation of micro- and nano-scale capsules containing lubricant chemical additives. The present disclosure also relates to micro- and nano-scale capsules prepared by such processes, which are useful in a variety of applications, including automotive lubricants, diesel lubricants, industrial lubricants, metal-working lubricants, coolants, and process fluids. Micro-and nano-scale capsules prepared as described herein have the required properties that such capsules need to exhibit in order to function effectively and meet the requirements imposed by engine lubrication conditions. The microcapsules may be dispersed in a lubricating oil such that the lubricant exhibits improved stability and anti-wear performance, thereby improving engine fuel efficiency and performance.
