LOW-FRICTION MEMBER IMITATING SHARK SKIN AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention relates to a low-friction member imitating shark skin and a manufacturing method therefor, the low-friction member implementing a structure similar to shark skin and having riblets by stacking, in layers, composite particles formed by attaching spherical particles on the surfaces of plate-shaped particles, and thus the low-friction member has excellent low-friction characteristics. The present invention comprises: a base plate; plate-shaped particles stacked in layers on the surface of the base plate in the form of scales; and a plurality of spherical metal lubricating particles having a size smaller than that of the plate-shaped particles, and coated on the surfaces of the plate-shaped particles, wherein the metal lubricating particles are arranged in the form of a bridge connecting the base plate and the plate-shaped particles, and the plate-shaped particles to each other.
Solid lubricant bar
A solid lubricant bar comprising hydrogenated castor oil or wax, expandable flake graphite, and copper. ATH, MDH, and zinc borate can also be added to the formulation to enhance fire retardancy and suppression.
LUBRICANT COMPOSITION FOR FORMING HEMIMORPHITE-CONTAINING LUBRICATION COATING, METHOD FOR FORMING SAID LUBRICATION COATING ON SURFACE OF METAL WORKPIECE, AND METAL WORKPIECE COMPRISING SAID LUBRICATION COATING
Problems addressed by the present invention are to provide a lubricant composition that is capable of being used as an alternative to chemical conversion treatment by means of phosphate, to provide a lubricant composition having practical stable lubricative performance without the need for additional unwanted operations, and to provide a method for using this to form a lubrication coating, and a metal workpiece at which a lubrication coating is formed on a surface thereof. Provided as a means for solving such problems is a lubricant composition for causing formation of a hemimorphite-containing lubrication coating that contains a silicate compound (e.g., colloidal silica) and water-soluble zinc in solution.
MIXED POWDER FOR POWDER METALLURGY
A mixed powder for powder metallurgy comprises: an iron-based powder; and a lubricant, wherein the lubricant consists of a low-melting-point lubricant having a melting point of 86° C. or less and a high-melting-point lubricant having a melting point of more than 86° C., the low-melting-point lubricant has at least one of an amide group, an ester group, an amino group, and a carboxyl group, a ratio R1 of the low-melting-point lubricant to whole of the lubricant is 5 mass % or more and less than 90 mass %, a ratio R2 of a mass of a free lubricant to a mass of a binding lubricant is 0 or more and 15 or less, and an amount R3 of the low-melting-point lubricant contained as the free lubricant is less than 0.10 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the iron-based powder.
BEARING ELEMENT AND TURBOMACHINE WITH A BEARING ELEMENT
A bearing element for at least one adjustable guide vane of a turbomachine, in particular an aircraft engine, is provided. The bearing element comprising a porous matrix made of carbon and/or graphite and at least one metallic phase or a metal salt that is at least partially arranged inside the pores of the matrix, so that what results is a metal-infiltrated or a metal-salt-infiltrated material.
Solid Lubricant Bar
A solid lubricant bar comprising hydrogenated castor oil or wax, expandable flake graphite, and copper. ATH, MDH, and zinc borate can also be added to the formulation to enhance fire retardancy and suppression.
SELF-LUBRICATING COMPOSITE COATING
A self-lubricating solid composite coating configured for an application to timepiece mechanisms, including particles of graphene and/or graphene oxide distributed in a metal matrix.
LOW-ADHESION COATINGS WITH SOLID-STATE LUBRICANTS
Some variations provide a low-adhesion coating comprising a continuous matrix containing a first component, a plurality of inclusions containing a second component, and a solid-state lubricant distributed within the coating, wherein one of the first component or the second component is a low-surface-energy polymer, and the other of the first component or the second component is a hygroscopic material. The solid-state lubricant may be selected from graphite, graphene, molybdenum disulfide, tungsten disulfide, hexagonal boron nitride, or poly(tetrafluoroethylene) or other fluoropolymers. The solid-state lubricant particles may be coated with a metal selected from cadmium, lead, tin, zinc, copper, nickel, or alloys containing one or more of these metals. The solid-state lubricant is typically characterized by an average particle size from about 0.1 μm to about 500 μm. The solid-state lubricant is preferably distributed throughout the coating.
