Automated link chain cleaning and lubricating system
A link chain cleaning and lubricating device, and lubricants for use therein.
DRY FILM LUBRICANT COMPOSITION
A dry film lubricant composition includes: an anionic wax emulsion including carnauba wax and an anionic surfactant; water; a thickener; an organic solvent; a fluorosurfactant; a phosphate additive; and an alkaline agent.
ONE-STEP PRETREATMENT METHOD OF METALLIC SUBSTRATES FOR METAL COLD FORMING
Disclosed herein is a method for pretreatment of a metallic substrate for a subsequent metal cold forming process, said method , and contacting at least one surface of the substrate with an aqueous lubricant composition (B). The aqueous lubricant composition (B) has a pH value in the range of from 0.1 to 6.0, and includes water in an amount of at least 40 wt.-%, based on the total weight of the composition (B), at least one film-forming polymer, at least one wax, at least one corrosion inhibitor , and oxalate and/or phosphate anions. Further disclosed herein are a pretreated metallic substrate obtainable by the aforementioned inventive method, a method of cold forming of a metallic substrate including a step of subjecting the inventive pretreated metallic substrate to a cold forming process, an aqueous lubricant composition (B), and a master batch for preparing the aqueous composition (B).
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY BICYCLE CHAIN AND GEAR MAINTENANCE SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE
An environmentally friendly bicycle chain and gear maintenance system includes an ecologically friendly package of highly recyclable material such as one of a metal or glass container with an integral brush applicator; or a paper container with a wax or other oil-resistant, non-permeable interior. The environmentally friendly bicycle chain and gear maintenance system includes a lubricant contained within the package, the lubricant being substantially free of petroleum oil distillates and comprising one of either a lanolin based lubricant which comprises a mixture of lanolin within a carrier, wherein the carrier is a non-drying or semi-non-drying, plant-based oil or a water soluble lubricant comprising a mixture of 25% to 75% of a surfactant which is a soap and 25% to 75% of glycerin.
Drag reducing agents
A drag reducing composition comprises a sealed temporary container; and a drag reducing agent and up to 20 weight percent of a dispersing fluid disposed in the sealed temporary container. The drag reducing agent comprises polyolefin particles having a particle size of about 10 to about 2,000 microns; and the dispersing fluid comprising water, an alcohol, a hydrocarbon, or a combination comprising at least one of the foregoing.
Drag reducing agents
A drag reducing agent has a core comprising a polyolefin; and a temporary container encapsulating the core. The temporary container contains a container material, which includes an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, an ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer, a polyvinylpyrrolidone, an ethylene vinylpyrrolidone copolymer, a vinylpyrrolidone vinyl acetate copolymer, a polyvinyl acetate, a polyvinyl alcohol, a polyethylene oxide, a polyethylene glycol, polyvinylidene chloride, a polysaccharide or its derivative, or a combination comprising at least one of the foregoing. A largest dimension of the drag reducing agent is greater than about 1,000 microns.
Wax-containing, organic thickened lubricant powder
This disclosure relates to a lubricant powder composition that is made from a combination of wax, grease thickener, and additives. The lubricant powder composition exhibits low frictional, and improved mechanical stability in high temperature environments. This disclosure further relates to the use of a lubricant powder composition in a mechanical component.
Snow equipment wax formulation
A snow equipment wax composition including at least 65 wt % of candelilla wax and sunflower wax; at least 20 wt % of pillar blend soy wax; and up to 15 wt % of one or more additional materials selected from the group of additional waxes, natural plant oils, and hydrogenated plant oils.
Lubricant transformable from solid to semi-solid
A lubricant composition includes a mixture of grease and wax formed into a block which is solid at atmospheric pressure and temperatures up to 150° F., and which transforms into a semi-solid under mechanical loading. The mixture is formed with 5-25% of melted wax. The block may be coated to form a shell to remain solid at elevated temperatures. The block may include other additives. The grease block is suitable for use in various applications, including on a 5.sup.th wheel trailer hitch plate.
