Oil compositions
An oil composition comprises at least 50 percent by mass, based on the mass of the composition, of an oil and 0.01 to 25 percent by mass, based on the mass of the composition, of a polymer comprising at least one poly(lactone) segment. The at least one poly(lactone) segment is derived from a lactone substituted by one or two hydrocarbyl groups, or substituted hydrocarbyl groups, at least one such group having at least 4 carbon atoms. The oil compositions are suitable for use in the lubrication of the crankcase of internal combustion engines.
CONTINUOUS ACOUSTIC MIXING FOR PERFORMANCE ADDITIVES AND COMPOSITIONS INCLUDING THE SAME
The instant disclosure provides a process for preparing a lubricant or fuel additive mixture where an oil of lubricating viscosity or fuel are blended with additives that are mixed via an acoustic mixer. The additives and oil of lubricating viscosity or fuel can mixed together or any component of the lubricant or fuel additive mixture can be mixed separately prior to mixing to form the final lubricant. The process provides for continuous mixing to form lubricant and/or fuel additive mixture final products.

at least one base oil;
0.005 to 10% by weight of at least one polymeric organic friction modifier; and
0.005 to 10% by weight of at least one ester, said polymeric organic friction modifier being the reaction product of: a) at least one hydrophobic polymer subunit which comprises a hydrophobic polymer selected from polyolefins, polyacrylics and polystyrenes; b) at least one hydrophilic polymer subunit which comprises a hydrophilic polymer selected from polyethers, polyesters and polyamides; c) optionally at least one backbone moiety capable of linking polymeric subunits together; and d) optionally a chain termination group.
Lubricant composition
The present invention provides a non-aqueous lubricant composition comprising a base stock and 5 at least 0.02 wt % of a friction reducing additive which comprises a block co-polymer of at least one block A which is an oligo- or polyester residue of a hydroxycarboxylic acid and at least one block B which is a residue of a polyalkylene glycol. The invention also provides the use of a block co-polymer of at least one block A which is an oligo- or polyester residue of a hydroxycarboxylic acid and at least one block B which is a residue of a polyalkylene glycol to reduce the kinetic co-efficient 10 of friction in a non-aqueous lubricant composition when compared to an equivalent lubricant composition comprising no block co-polymer.

Amine-functionalized organosilane/fatty acid combination systems as stain/corrosion inhibitors for the application on aluminum and its alloys
Provided herein is a composition for treating aluminum containing surfaces, wherein the composition includes a reaction product of at least one amine-functionalized organosilane and/or oligomer and/or polymer thereof and at least one fatty acid, wherein the molar ratio of the amino group/s of the at least one amine-functionalized organosilane and/or oligomer and/or polymer thereof and of the at least one fatty acid is 1.2:1 to 1:2, and wherein the at least one amine-functionalized organosilane and/or oligomer and/or polymer thereof is linked to the at least one fatty acid by at least one carboxylic acid/amine salt bond and/or at least one amide bond.
Lubricant composition for industrial gearing coming into contact with food
The invention relates to a lubricant composition comprising: at least one base oil for coming into contact with food, selected from the groups II, III or V according to the categories defined in the API classification or the equivalents thereof according to the ATIEL classification; at least one hydrogenated polyisobutylene; and at least one ester polymer.
Metal working fluid additive composition
An industrial fluid additive composition comprises one or more sequestering agents one or more compounds of formula (A): (A) wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are independently selected from substituted hydrocarbyl moieties containing from 1 to 10 carbon atoms or unsubstituted hydrocarbyl moieties containing from 1 to 10 carbon atoms. ##STR00001##
Solid dry-type lubricant
One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a dry-type lubricant for use in a dry product hopper to help improve dry product flow and to improve anti jamming properties of the dry product. The example lubricant can comprise a hydrophilic fiber, such as cellulose, having a width to length aspect ratio that provides a thin fiber. A plurality of hydrophobic particles are deposited on the surface of the fiber, resulting in a fiber surface exhibiting amphiphobic properties. Further, the fiber can operably absorb water, and then releases the absorbed water to the surface of the fiber under mechanical stress, such as when mixed with a product in a hopper. This can result in the water being disposed on the surface of the fiber, to provide lubrication to a product in a hopper to improve flow and anti jamming characteristics of the product in the hopper.
MICROENCAPSULATION OF FRICTION MODIFIER ADDITIVES AND OTHER ADDITIVES FOR PREFORMANCE ENHANCEMENT IN AUTOMOTIVE AND INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS
The present disclosure relates to microencapsulated friction modifiers additives used in lubricants or other solutions, to their preparation, and to the use thereof to improve fuel economy of the engines and machines by enhancing friction reduction and prolonging the friction reduction time period.
