LUBRICANTS WITH IMPROVED SEAL COMPATIBILITY
The present invention relates to lubricating compositions and particularly gear oil compositions that include a specific class of substituted triazoles, where the substituted triazole includes at least one hydrocarbyl group linked to one of the nitrogen atoms in the triazole ring. Such compositions provide surprisingly good seal compatibility compared to compositions with other triazoles and/or alternative additives.

Fire-Resistant Hydraulic Fluids
A synthetic and semi-synthetic fire-resistant hydraulic fluid compositions are disclosed. According to one preferred embodiment, the composition may include water, a hydrophilic co-solvent, an oil, a lubricant, a neutralizing agent, a non-ionic surfactant, an anionic surfactant. Optionally, the compositions may further include a corrosion inhibitor, an anti-foaming agent and a biocide.
Lubricating oil composition
Disclosed is a lubricating oil composition capable of having a good balance of electrical insulation, seizure resistance and wear resistance. In particular, the lubricating oil composition comprises: (A) a lubricant base oil; (B) an alkaline earth metal detergent; (C) a triazole-based compound represented by the following general formula (1) or (2): ##STR00001##
wherein R.sup.1-R.sup.6 are as defined herein; (D) at least one sulfur-containing compound selected from the group consisting of a sulfur-containing heterocyclic ether compound and a sulfide compound; and (E) an ashless dispersant.
Lubricating oil composition and impregnated bearing
Provided are a lubricating oil composition which contains a base oil (A) containing an ester-based oil (Al), and a polymer (B) having a constituent unit (b) derived from an alkyl (meth)acrylate, wherein the content of the polymer (B) is 0.1 to 10% by mass based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition, the lubricating oil composition has a viscosity index of 350 or more, the lubricating oil composition has a BF viscosity at −40° C. of 4000mPa.Math.s or less, and the lubricating oil composition is used for an impregnated bearing, and an impregnated bearing impregnated with the lubricating oil composition. The lubricating oil composition has excellent lubricity in use in a wide temperature environment from a low temperature region to a high temperature region, is capable of maintaining excellent infiltration property even in an environment in which a temperature change between a low temperature and a high temperature is severe, and is suitable for use in an impregnated bearing.
LUBRICANT COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTING CORROSION AND/OR TRIBO-CORROSION OF METAL PARTS IN AN ENGINE

0.1 to 30% by weight of an imidazoline compound of formula (A):

R.sup.1 represents a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl group comprising 1 to 16 carbon atoms, optionally substituted at the end of the chain by a group selected from among NH.sub.2, OH or SH; and

WATER-SOLUBLE METAL WORKING FLUID COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR USING SAME
A water-soluble metalworking fluid composition and a method of using the same. The water-soluble metalworking fluid composition has the components (A), (B), and (C), where (A) is a fatty acid having a carbon atom number of 9-11, (B) is an unsaturated fatty acid having a carbon atom number of 16-22, and (C) is a polymeric fatty acid having an acid value of 10-200 mgKOH/g. (A) is 1-20 mass %, (B) is 30-60 mass %, and (C) is 35-55 mass %, based on the total amount of the components (A), (B) and (C). The water-soluble metalworking fluid composition maintains the workability while improving the mechanical fouling.
USE OF A TRIAZOLE COMPOUND AS AN ADDITIVE FOR IMPROVING THE ANTI-CORROSION PROPERTIES OF A LUBRICANT COMPOSITION FOR A PROPULSION SYSTEM OF AN ELECTRIC OR HYBRID VEHICLE
The invention relates to the use of at least one triazole compound as an additive for improving the anti-corrosion properties of a lubricant composition for a propulsion system of an electric or hybrid vehicle, said lubricant composition comprising one or more amino and/or sulfur anti-wear additives. The invention also relates to the use of a lubricant composition for lubricating a propulsion system of an electric or hybrid vehicle.
HYDRAULIC FLUID
The present invention provides a hydraulic fluid comprising: (a) 40 to 150 ppm by weight in terms of nitrogen content of a corrosion inhibiting agent which is one or more compounds of formula (I):
##STR00001## and/or tribologically acceptable salts thereof, wherein in formula (I): each R.sup.1 is independently a hydrocarbyl group comprising 1 to 10 carbon atoms, x is 0 to 4, and R.sup.2 is hydrogen or a hydrocarbyl group containing 1 to 10 carbon atoms; (b) 1500 to 4000 ppm by weight of an ashless nitrogen-containing dispersant; and (c) a major amount of a base oil.
Hydraulic oil composition
The present invention relates to a hydraulic fluid composition containing a base oil (A), an antioxidant (B) including an amine-based antioxidant (B1) and a phenol-based antioxidant (B2), and a succinimide-based compound (C), wherein the hydraulic fluid composition satisfies the following requirement (I); and is to be used for hydraulic equipment which is equipped with at least one of a wet type brake and a wet type clutch and which is selected from a construction machinery, a general industrial machinery, and a power generator, and in which a working pressure is 30 MPa or more. The hydraulic fluid composition is not only excellent in wear resistance and an effect for suppressing the sludge formation but also excellent in a braking performance or a clutch performance, even when used under a high-pressure condition. Requirement (I): A static friction coefficient (μ.sub.s) after 1,000 cycles, as measured in conformity with the SAE No. 2 test described in JCMAS P 047:2004, is 0.100 to 0.162.
