11939551 · 2024-03-26 · ·

An electric motor driveline fluid for an electric motor system including a lubricating base oil, at least one sulfurized component, and at least one dispersant derived from a polyisobutylene having an average number molecular weight of at least 2000. The electric motor driveline fluid provides acceptable wear performance as well as good electrical conductivity and oxidative stability for use in electric motor system fluids having a low viscosity when select elemental relationships of phosphorus, sulfur, and calcium and included in the fluid.

Coolant for Composite Materials

The present invention concerns a coolant, present as an emulsion in the form of a concentrate, for machining fiber-reinforced plastics and material combinations containing fiber-reinforced plastics and metals; furthermore, the present invention also concerns a coolant, present as a solution in the form of concentrate, for machining fiber-reinforced plastics.

MIXED PHOSPHORUS ESTERS FOR LUBRICANT APPLICATIONS

A lubricant composition of an oil of lubricating viscosity and a phosphite ester reaction product of a monomeric phosphorous acid or an ester thereof with a first alkylene diol having two hydroxy groups in a 1,4 or 1,5 or 1,6 relationship and a second, alkyl-substituted, diol being a substituted 1,3-propylene diol, exhibits good wear and frictional performance.

Non-Chlorinated Alkoxylated Alcohol Phosphate for Metal Working

An improved metal working composition is provided. The composition comprises an additive defined by Formula I:

[R.sup.1(CO).sub.yO(CH.sub.2CHR.sup.2O).sub.z].sub.nPO.sub.4-nX.sub.3-nFormula I

wherein:
R.sup.1 is a saturated or unsaturated, branched or linear, alkyl or aryl hydrocarbon group comprising at least 10 to no more than 24 carbons;
each R.sup.2 is independently selected from H and alkyl of 1-5 carbons;
X is a cation or hydrogen;
y is 0 or 1;
z is an integer of 1 to 20; and
n is 1 or 2.
