LUBRICANT COMPOSITION
A lubricating oil composition which contains a base oil and a fluorine compound and may have improved cooling performance. The base oil may contain a mineral oil. The base oil may have a kinematic viscosity in a range of from 1 to 25 mm.sup.2/s at 40° C. The content of the fluorine compound may be in a range of from 3 to 30% by weight based on the total amount of the composition.
HERMETIC REFRIGERANT COMPRESSOR AND REFRIGERATOR-FREEZER USING THE SAME
Lubricating oil has a kinematic viscosity in a range of 1 mm.sup.2/S to 7 mm.sup.2/S at 40° C., has a mass average molecular weight in a range of 150 to 400, and contains 0.5% by mass or more of a high molecular weight component. The high molecular weight component has a mass molecular weight of greater than or equal to 500. A crankshaft serving as a shaft part of a compression element includes a main shaft that includes a sliding surface. In a case where the sliding surface is a single sliding surface, a length of the single sliding surface in an axial direction is a single sliding length L, whereas in a case where the sliding surface is divided into a plurality of sliding surfaces, a length of one of the sliding surfaces in the axial direction, the one sliding surface having a least length in the axial direction among the plurality of sliding surfaces, is the single sliding length L, and a ratio L/D of the single sliding length L to an external diameter D of the main shaft is less than or equal to 2.0.
HYDROCARBON FLUID HAVING IMPROVED COLD TEMPERATURE PROPERTIES
A composition includes (a) a hydrocarbon fluid comprising less than 1000 ppm by weight of aromatics, a weight ratio normal paraffins/isoparaffins ranging from 0.2 to 1.0 and having an initial boiling point and a final boiling point in the range from 265° C. to 380° C., and (b) a copolymer derived from alpha-olefin monomers and vinyl acetate type monomers and optionally acrylate type monomers.
RENEWABLE ALKENE PRODUCTION ENGAGING METATHESIS
Herein is provided a process for producing renewable products, such as alkenes, from a feedstock of biological origin. The process includes subjecting a feedstock including fatty acid glycerides and optionally free fatty acids, wherein at least one hydrocarbon chain is unsaturated, to esterification reaction in the presence of an alcohol. The ester stream thereby obtained is then fractionated and a fraction including esters of unsaturated C18 fatty acids is subjected to metathesis conditions in the presence of an alkene to obtain metathesis products. Fractionation of the metathesis products includes recovery of at least renewable 1-decene, and unsaturated C10-C15 fatty acid esters.
Refrigerator oil and hydraulic fluid composition for refrigerators
A refrigerating oil comprising a lubricating base oil, a first extreme pressure agent containing sulfur and phosphorus as constituent elements and a second extreme pressure agent containing phosphorus but not containing sulfur as constituent elements, and having a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 0.5 mm.sup.2/s or more and 2.5 mm.sup.2/s or less.
Method of Producing Lube Base Oil from Middle Distillate in Pyrolysis Oil Derived from Waste Plastic
Provided are a method of producing a Lube base oil composition including a) reacting at least a part of waste plastic pyrolysis oil having a boiling point in a range of 180 to 340° C. to remove impurities and oligomerize the oil; and b) hydroisomerizing at least a part of the product of step a). A lube base oil composition is also produced therefrom.
Lubricant composition
The present invention relates to a lubricating oil composition containing: (A) a poly-α-olefin base oil obtained by using a metallocene catalyst; (B) a mineral oil-based base oil exhibiting a distillation curve with a temperature gradient Δ|Dt| of distillation temperature between two points 2.0 vol % and 5.0 vol % of distillation amount being 6.8° C./vol % or less; and (C) an ester-based base oil in an amount of 6% by mass or more based on a total amount of the composition.
