LIPID COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
The method of producing a lipid composition comprises an extraction treatment step to extract a lipid comprised in a hydrated raw material by using an extraction solvent comprising a polar solvent and a nonpolar solvent, and a separation treatment step to separate an extract solution obtained in the extraction treatment step into a polar solvent phase comprising a first lipid fraction and a nonpolar solvent phase comprising a second lipid fraction.
THERMALLY ACTIVATED BLEACHING CLAY PRODUCT FOR OIL BLEACHING
A bleaching clay product, a method of producing and a method of decolorizing an oil are disclosed. The bleaching clay product comprises attapulgite that has been thermally activated. The bleaching clay product may have a permeability in oil in the range of 0.04-3 darcy and may have a surface area of 45-140 m.sup.2/g. The method of producing such bleaching clay product may comprise thermally activating a material that includes attapulgite by heating the material at a temperature in the range of 300 to 900° C. The method of decolorizing may include contacting for a contact time an oil with the bleaching clay product that comprises attapulgite that has been thermally activated, and separating the bleaching clay product from the oil to recover a decolorized oil that has a lower red color than the oil had prior to the contacting.

Method for Refined Palm Oil Production with Reduced 3-MCPD Formation
Methods of refining palm oil in order to produce a refined, bleached and deodorized palm oil with reduced level of 3-monochloropropane-1, 2-diol (3-MCPD) ester are disclosed. The methods may include premixing a palm oil with an acid to chelate metals and form a reaction mixture, and subjecting the reaction mixture to hydrodynamic cavitation mixing for less than 1 second.
PONGAMIA OIL COMPOSITIONS, AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING AND USING THEREOF
Provided herein are pongamia oil compositions suitable for animal consumption, in particular human consumption, as well as methods of producing such compositions. The compositions are edible and non-bitter tasting, and have certain attributes that make such compositions suitable for use as and/or in various food and beverage products. Provided herein are also methods of analyzing pongamia oil.
Ionizable cationic lipids
The present disclosure provides compounds useful as ionizable cationic lipids. The ionizable cationic lipids are useful for preparing lipid nanoparticles for the delivery of therapeutic nucleic acids to cells. Cationic ionizable lipids were engineered with improved stability to oxidative degradation while in storage.
PROCESSES FOR PRODUCING HYDROCARBON PRODUCTS
The present invention relates to processes for producing industrial products such as hydrocarbon products from non-polar lipids in a vegetative plant part. Preferred industrial products include alkyl esters which may be blended with petroleum based fuels.

ELECTROLYTIC OIL EXTRACTION SYSTEM AND PROCESS
Systems and methods for use in extracting oil from solid plant-based materials are described. The systems and methods use an electrolyzed carrier fluid made from a hydroxide brine for contacting with plant-based material to thereby separate oil from solid plant particulate. The electrolyzed carrier fluid can have a reductive oxidation-reduction-potential (ORP) of −700 mV or more, such as in the range of from about −900 mV to about −1000 mV.
EDIBLE OIL/FAT IN WHICH CONTENT OF GLYCIDOL AND GLYCIDOL FATTY ACID ESTER ARE REDUCED, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAID EDIBLE OIL/FAT
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an oil/fat in which the glycidol content and glycidol fatty acid ester content are reduced. A method for manufacturing an edible fat/oil, wherein a step for decolorizing and deodorizing an oil/fat that contains a palm-based oil/fat, in which physically refined palm oil (RBDPO) is used as a raw material, includes a step for performing an acid-induced contacting process during a decolorization work step.
