EPOXIDIZED OIL-BASED SURFACTANT AND COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING THE SAME
An epoxidized oil-based surfactant is the reaction product of an epoxidized compound and a primary and/or secondary alkanolamine, wherein the epoxidized compound is chosen from an epoxidized oil, an epoxidized fatty acid, an epoxidized fatty acid ester, and combinations thereof. An herbicidal composition includes glyphosate or a salt thereof and at least one epoxidized oil-based surfactant. The herbicidal composition is used in a method of controlling unwanted vegetation wherein the method includes the step of applying to the unwanted vegetation a herbicidally effective amount of the aforementioned herbicidal composition. The epoxidized oil-based surfactant is prepared using a method that includes reacting the epoxidized compound and the primary and/or secondary alkanolamine. The epoxidized oil-based surfactant is also utilized in a cleaning composition for the cleaning of hard surfaces, wherein the cleaning composition includes the epoxidized oil-based surfactant and an additional component chosen from an additional surfactant and/or a chelating agent.
CLEANSING COMPOSITION
One object is to provide a cleansing composition that has excellent cleansing effect and phase inversion feeling, is readily rinsed off in the course of water washing, suppresses the oil-induced stickiness after the use, and has excellent preservation stability. There is provided a cleansing composition comprising: (A) a sugar ester of a fatty acid; (B) at least one type of an anionic surfactant selected from among amino acid surfactants and taurine surfactants; (C) at least one type of a polyglycerol fatty acid diester or a polyglycerol fatty acid triester having an HLB value of not greater than 13; (D) at least one type of a polyglycerol fatty acid monoester having an HLB value of not smaller than 11; (B) an oil that has a liquid form or a paste (non-solid) form at ordinary temperature; (F) a polyol; and (G) water.

Method for washing hard article
The present invention provides a method for washing a hard article, the method including: the contact step of bringing a detergent liquid obtained by mixing (a) a potassium internal olefin sulfonate and (b) water having a hardness of 5° DH or more, into contact with the hard article, and the step of rinsing the hard article after the contact step with water having a hardness of 5° DH or more, wherein the detergent liquid at 30° C. or more is brought into contact with the hard article in at least a part of the contact step.
Solvent application in bottle wash using amidine based formulas
According to the invention, the compositions and methods provide for the complete removal of labels, synthetic glues and/or adhesives from a plurality of surfaces through the use of an aqueous or non-aqueous basic organic solvent and/or an amidine, optionally in combination with surfactants, chelants, acidulants and/or additional bottle wash additives. Beneficially, the compositions and methods are suitable for use at lower temperatures and pH conditions, along with under caustic-free and/or reduced caustic conditions to effectively remove such labels, synthetic glues and/or adhesives from a surface within less than about 30 minutes.
