Agent, liquid, and method for cleaning reverse osmosis membrane
Provided is an agent and a liquid for cleaning an RO membrane to remove effectively foulants that can not be sufficiently removed with conventional cleaning agents when an RO membrane particularly an aromatic polyamide RO membrane has been used for water treatment and has become fouled resulting in degradation of performance such as permeation flux, pressure difference, and salt rejection rate. The agent for cleaning an RO membrane includes an aliphatic amide and/or an aromatic amide. Also provided is a method for cleaning an RO membrane with the cleaning agent or the cleaning liquid. The aliphatic amide and/or the aromatic amide particularly an aliphatic amide and/or an aromatic amide being soluble in water and having a relatively low molecular weight remove effectively foulants adhered on an aromatic polyamide RO membrane.
Pharmaceutical composition containing 8 OXO-deoxyguanosine or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as active ingredient for treating corneal disease
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for treating corneal disease containing 8-oxo-deoxyguanosine (8-oxo-2-deoxyguanosine) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. Specifically, by confirming that a corneal epithelium was restored (regenerated) quicker and the clarity of a cornea improved when it was administered W to a mouse model of corneal disease induced by ethanol, 8-oxo-deoxyguanosine (8-oxo-2-deoxyguanosine) of the present invention may be useful for the treatment of corneal disease.
SURFACTANT COMPOSITIONS AND USE THEREOF
Surfactants capable of releasing and/or dissolving polymers to form water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer solutions are disclosed. In addition, polymer compositions containing a water-in-oil emulsion comprising the surfactant are provided and can be used, for example, in methods of dissolving a polymer. Also disclosed are detergent compositions and methods of cleaning articles and/or membranes using the surfactants herein. These surfactants and polymer compositions can be used in various industries including for water clarification, papermaking, sewage and industrial water treatment, drilling mud stabilizers, and enhanced oil recovery.
COMPOSITION AND METHOD TO CLEAN AND DECONTAMINATE ANIMAL CARCASSES
Compositions and methods for cleaning and decontaminating animal carcasses are disclosed. The compositions comprise a mud ball remover having a thioglycolate salt and a base and an antimicrobial agent effective to remove mud balls and reduce microbial contamination of a hide surface at ambient temperatures. The methods comprise cleaning and decontaminating an animal carcass by applying the disclosed compositions onto the surface of the animal carcass to soften and loosen foreign debris attached to the carcass followed by mechanically removing the foreign debris while preserving the integrity and quality of the hide byproduct and resulting leather articles.
Product for cleaning surfaces
A product for cleaning a surface includes a combination of a first composition with a second composition. The first composition includes hydrogen peroxide and makes up 94-99.5% of the combination by weight. The second composition includes at least one of a silicate, a carbonate, a bicarbonate and a percarbonate and makes up 0.5-6% of the combination by weight. The first composition and the second composition are stored in separate vessels until combined to form the combination. The combination is applied to the surface after mixing.
DEGREASING COMPOSITIONS, PROCESS FOR PRODUCING AND USES THEREOF
The invention pertains to degreasing compositions, process for producing and uses thereof. The composition comprises: from about 4% to about 16% by weight of the composition of a first anionic surfactant having HLB value less than 12; from about 1% to about 5% by weight of the composition of a second anionic surfactant having HLB value more than 12; from about 1% to about 4% by weight of the composition of a weak acid; from about 2% to about 6% by weight of the composition of urea; from about 1% to about 5% by weight of the composition of trisodium phosphate; about 1% to about 4% of the composition, of an inorganic base; and from about 60% by weight to about 90% by weight of the composition of water.
ALKOXYLATES HAVING IMPROVED HYDROTROPIC POWER
The invention relates to detergent formulations comprising at least one secondary alcohol alkoxylate, and to the use of said at least one secondary alcohol alkoxylate as a surfactant having an improved hydrotropic power.
FOAMING PRODUCE WASHES AND METHODS OF DISPENSING AND USING THE SAME
The disclosure relates to produce wash products including a dispenser with a liquid retaining container and a foam dispenser head and a liquid produce wash present in the liquid retaining container, wherein the foam dispenser head is fluidly connected to the liquid produce wash, and wherein the liquid produce wash includes a natural oil or a component thereof, a fatty acid, an antioxidant, a surfactant, an alkali metal hydroxide, glycerin, water, and, optionally, a preservative. In some aspects, the foam dispenser head includes an air chamber and a liquid chamber fluidly connected to the liquid retaining container; when the foam dispenser head is activated by pumping or another means, air and the liquid produce wash are dispensed simultaneously as a foam. Also disclosed are methods of dispensing a produce wash, methods of using the disclosed produce washes to wash a piece of firm produce, and liquid produce washes.
