Dissolvable Toilet Brush Formulations

Formulations for dissolvable solid unit dose toilet cleaning compositions containing an anionic surfactant, a carbonate or bicarbonate salt, a water-soluble filler and an organic acid, wherein the ratio of anionic surfactant to filler is 1:6 to 5:1. The filler includes clay, a sugar or a salt. The solid unit dose can be a tablet or compressed solid that engages with a wand to clean a toilet. The solids dissolve and can be flushed after use.

Compressed Unit Dose Toilet Cleaning Tablets

A compressed unit dose toilet cleaning tablet for use with a wand. The unit dose contains surfactant, organic acid, and an organic acid buffering agent and is compressed into a tablet or puck that dissolves in toilet water after cleaning. The tablet has a top surface, a bottom surface, a height extending from the top surface to the bottom surface, and a diameter. The top surface has an indentation adapted to receive and engage with a wand. A ratio of the height to the diameter of the tablet is between 0.2 and 0.3. A kit contains a plurality of the tablets and a wand.

A powdered cleaning composition includes at least one acid chosen from citric acid, glycolic acid, and combinations thereof and present in an amount of from about 1 to about 30 wt % actives based on a total weight of the composition, at least one anionic surfactant present in an amount of from about 5 to about 50 wt % actives based on a total weight of the composition, and at least two fillers chosen from a salt, a sugar, and a clay and present in a total amount of from about 10 to about 80 wt % actives based on a total weight of the composition, wherein the composition comprises water in an amount of less than about 15 wt % based on a total weight of the composition, and wherein the composition has a dissolution percentage of at least about 12% after about 5 minutes in water at about 25° C.

Method for producing a washing agent portion unit with improved optical and rheological properties

A method for producing a washing agent portion unit having at least one receiving chamber surrounded by a water-soluble film, including the steps of: a) transporting a first water-soluble film in the direction of a dosing station; b) molding the first water-soluble film into the cavities of a deep-drawing die located below the water-soluble film, forming at least one cavity in the direction of travel of the film; c) filling the cavity by way of the dosing station with a first flowable washing agent preparation containing, based on its total weight, i) 20 to 80 wt. % surfactant; ii) 2 to 15 wt. % fatty acid; iii) 0.3 to 8 wt. % of the salt of a divalent cation; iv) 8 to 35 wt. % solvent; d) transporting the filled cavity in the direction of a sealing station; e) sealing the filled cavity with a second water-soluble film, and the washing agent portion.

Methods and Compositions for Acid Treatment of a Metal Surface

The invention relates to compositions and methods that are useful in etching a metal surface. In particular, the invention relates to novel acid compositions and methods of using such compositions in etching a metal surface, preferably an aluminum surface prior to anodizing to dissolve impurities, imperfections, scale, and oxide. The compositions are effective in maintaining their etching capacity and in removing smut produced by the etching of a surface as well as in general cleaning.

HEAVY DUTY LAUNDRY DETERGENT
20180002637 · 2018-01-04 ·

A laundry detergent formulation is provided that is formed as an aqueous blend of surfactants, enzymes, builders, and soil release polymers to inhibit soil re-deposition back onto other clothing or elements of the washing machine. The detergent formulation also contains additives with properties that impart a treatment to fabrics that inhibits future soil deposition onto the clothing with continued use. The detergent formulation provides cleaning of heavy duty grease and automotive soils from clothing surfaces that is superior to current detergent products.

ACIDIC VISCOELASTIC SURFACTANT BASED CLEANING COMPOSITIONS

Acidic viscoelastic cleaning compositions are disclosed which use non polymer thickening agents. According to the invention, cleaning compositions have been developed using viscoelastic surfactants in acidic cleaning formulations. These provide the dual benefit of thickening as well as an additional cleaning, thereby improving performance. Applicants have also identified several pseudo linking agents which when, used with viscoelastic surfactants provide enhanced viscoelasticity and cleaning.

Particulate laundry softening wash additive comprising a quat and nonionic surfactant carrier

A composition including a plurality of particles, the plurality of particles including: about 25% to about 94% by weight a water soluble carrier; about 5% to about 45% by weight a quaternary ammonium compound; and about 0.5% to about 10% by weight a cationic polymer; wherein the plurality of particles comprises individual particles, each individual particle having a mass from about 1 mg to about 1 g.
