A composition comprises from 0.1 to 30 wt-% of one or more amino acids, 0.1 to 30 wt-% of one or more surfactants, and optionally one or more hydrotropes. The amino acids may be selected from arginine (“ARG”), lysine (“LYS”), histidine (“HIS”), glycine (“GLY”), or combinations thereof. The composition can be formulated as a cleaning composition, such as a hard surface cleaner, a floor cleaner, or a degreaser. The composition can be used in a method for treating a surface, where the composition is applied to the surface and allowed to remain on the surface for a length of time, and the surface is then wiped.

Cleaning method

The invention provides a method for the cleaning of a soiled substrate, the method comprising treating the substrate with a non-polymeric solid particulate cleaning material and wash water, the treatment being carried out in an apparatus comprising a drum comprising perforated side walls and having a capacity of between 5 and 50 liters for each kg of fabric in the washload, wherein the solid particulate cleaning material comprises a multiplicity of non-polymeric particles at a particle to fabric addition level of 0.1:1-10:1 by mass, each of the particles being substantially cylindrical or spherical in shape, and wherein the drum comprising perforated side walls is rotated at a speed which generates G forces in the range of from 0.05 to 900 G. The non-polymeric particles may comprise particles of glass, silica, stone, wood, or any of a variety of metals or ceramic materials. Preferably the solid particulate cleaning material additionally comprises a multiplicity of polymeric particles each of which is substantially cylindrical or spherical in shape. Preferably, at least one detergent is employed in the cleaning process. The invention provides optimum cleaning performance as a result of improved mechanical interaction between substrate and cleaning media and is preferably used for the cleaning of textile fabrics. The method allows for significant reductions in the consumption of detergents, water and energy when compared with the conventional wet cleaning of textile fabrics, and also facilitates reduced washing-related textile fabric damage. The invention also envisages a cleaning composition comprising a solid particulate cleaning composition and at least one additional cleaning agent.

PEARLY LIQUID DETERGENT COMPOSITION

The present invention relates to a pearly liquid detergent composition comprising a thickener, a pearlescent agent and perfume capsules. The present invention further relates to a method for cleaning textiles using such a pearly liquid detergent composition.

Cleansing composition containing oligodynamic metal and efficacy enhancing agent

In one aspect is disclosed a cleansing composition comprising: (i) a surfactant; (ii) an oligodynamic metal or ions thereof; (iii) a chelating agent; and, a polymer having a group comprising a site having one or more lone pair of electrons wherein, said surfactant is soap. The polymer having a group comprising a site having one or more lone pair of electrons enhances the antimicrobial efficacy of the oligodynamic metal.

WATER-SOLUBLE UNIT DOSE ARTICLE CONTAINING A CORE/SHELL CAPSULE

Water-soluble unit dose article containing a laundry detergent composition containing a capsule having a core and a shell.

Water-soluble solid or semi-solid dispersion of particles

Disclosed are solid or semisolid compositions the including finely divided particles and a water-soluble matrix that dissolves and disperses the particles when in contact with water. Also disclosed are kits for reducing and/or inhibiting odor formation on garment. The kit include one or more containers, wherein at least one of the one or more container includes solid or semisolid compositions the including finely divided particles and a water-soluble matrix that dissolves and disperses the particles when in contact with water. An edible silver delivery system including the compositions is disclosed as are methods of delivering silver to a subject in need thereof.

WASH-DURABLE, FLUID ABSORBENT SUBSTRATE WITH ANTIMICROBIAL PROPERTIES AND/OR IMPROVED WASHABILITY, AND HYGIENE PRODUCT SUCH AS REUSABLE SANITARY NAPKIN

The present invention is directed to a substrate, in particular textile material to which one or more antimicrobial and/or hydrophilic and/or stain release agents are adhered. The agent(s) is/are adhered to the substrate in such a manner that they are not released from the textile even if the textile is wetted or washed, so that the textile is reusable. Washability and/or usability of the textile are improved where one or more hydrophilic and/or stain release agents are adhered to the textile. The substrate can be used, e.g., in a reusable sanitary napkin or other hygiene product. The structure of the hygiene product is disclosed, together with a process of attaching the different layers of the hygiene product together by ultrasonic welding. The invention further relates to a method of finishing a substrate by applying and binding antimicrobial and/or hydrophilic and/or stain release agents to the substrate so that the agents are essentially irreversibly adhered to the finished substrate.
