CLEANING AGENT COMPOSITION AND CLEANING METHOD

A cleaning agent composition for use in removing an adhesive residue, characterized in that the composition contains a quaternary ammonium salt and a composition solvent including a first organic solvent and a second organic solvent; the first organic solvent is an amide derivative represented by formula (Z) (wherein R.sup.0 represents an ethyl group, a propyl group, or an isopropyl group; and each of R.sup.A and R.sup.B represents a C1 to C4 alkyl group); the second organic solvent is a non-amide organic solvent other than the amide derivative; and the composition has a water content less than 4.0 mass %.

A nonflammable aerosol cleaning composition is formulated with trans 1,2 dichloroethylene, 1,1,1,2,2,3,4,5,5,5-decafluoropentane, 1,1,1,3,3 pentafluoropropane, HFC-134a, and carbon dioxide. The aerosol cleaning composition is formulated for heavy duty, high pressure, and high output cleaning applications for cleaning aviation parts, such as jet engines located about 10 feet away from a user.

Disclosed is a thermoset, thermal insulating foams having desirable and unexpectedly low thermal conductivity, and to compositions, method and systems which use and/or are used to make such foams comprising: (a) providing thermosetting foam forming component and a blowing agent for forming predominantly closed cells in the foam, wherein the blowing agent comprises: (i) cis-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene (HFO-1336mzzm(Z)) and cyclopentane, with the HFO-1336mzzm(Z) and cyclopentane in the blowing agent together comprising at least about 50% by weight of the total of all components in the blowing agent and (ii) the weight ratio of HFO-1336mzzm(Z) to cyclopentane in the blowing agent is from about 45:55 to less than 68:32 and (b) forming foam from said provided foamable composition.

Ternary compositions of methyl perfluoroheptene ethers and trans-1,2-dichloroethylene, and uses thereof

Disclosed are compositions comprising 90 to 99 weight percent trans-1,2-dichloroethylene, from 0.1 to 8 weight percent methylperfluoroheptene ethers and from 0.5 to 2.0 weight percent of a fluorocarbon selected from the group consisting of Z-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene, 1,3,4,4,4-pentafluoro-3-trifluoromethy-1-butene, 1,1,1,4,4,5,5,5-octafluoro-2-pentene, perfluorobutyl methyl ether, perflurobutyl ethyl ether, perfluoroisopropylmethyl ether, perfluoroethyl isopropyl ketone, heptafluorocyclopentane, and E-1,1,1-trifluoro-3-chloro-2-propene, wherein the composition is non-flamable. The disclosure further provides a method for removing residue from a surface of an article comprising: (a) contacting the article with a composition comprising a composition of MPHE, trans-1,2-dichloroethylene and a fluorocarbon selected from the group consisting of Z-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene, 1,3,4,4,4-pentafluoro-3-trifluoromethy-1-butene, 1,1,1,4,4,5,5,5-octafluoro-2-pentene, perfluorobutyl methyl ether, perflurobutyl ethyl ether, perfluoroisopropylmethyl ether, perfluoroethyl isopropyl ketone, heptafluorocyclopentane, and E-1,1,1-trifluoro-3-chloro-2-propene; and (b) recovering the surface from the composition.
