CELL CULTURE MONITORING SYSTEM WITH LOW POWER CONSUMPTION
An improved cell culture monitoring system and method that detects cell growth and concentration in a dynamic environment of incubator/shaker. In order to reduce power consumption and make a wireless cell culture monitoring system practical, several methods of temperature compensation are used to replace a method of controlling the temperature of sensing module. Furthermore its power consumption can be significantly reduced by using an adaptive and synchronized light pulse detection technique.
DEVICE AND A METHOD FOR LIGHTING, CONDITIONING AND CAPTURING IMAGE(S) OF ORGANIC SAMPLE(S)
Micro-biological colony counters and more particularly, to a device and a method for lighting, conditioning and capturing image(s) of organic sample(s) such as but not limited to micro-organisms. The device (700) captures accurate image(s) of organic sample(s) and has a fixed focus imaging for repeatability in quality of images. The device (700) can capture images of organic sample in different lighting and color conditions thereby improving detection of microbiological colonies by increasing the contrast from the background medium. The color calibrated imaging device (700) provides diffused illumination by using polychromatic LED lights, light reflectors and light diffusers for optimal color reproduction of micro-biological colonies contained in organic sample(s). The device (700) is adapted for automatic capturing of images of organic sample(s) cultivated on petri dishes of different sizes.
SINGLE-CELL SCREENING DEVICE, SCREENING ASSEMBLY, SCREENING METHOD, AND USE THEREOF
A single-cell screening device, a screening assembly, a screening method, and use thereof. The single-cell screening device includes a body, a plurality of spray holes, heating portions, and a flow channel. The spray holes are located in the body, the heating portions are located in the spray holes and used for heating a liquid entering the spray holes to generate bubbles so as to spray out cells. The flow channel is located in the body and extends to the spray holes according to a preset path, so as to deliver a cell suspension into the spray holes. The single-cell screening device of the present disclosure has a simple design and is easy to fabricate. Cell printing (spraying) using the screening assembly of the present disclosure has a much higher cell printing speed than conventional methods, allowing for a rapid cell sorting process.
Photoreactor for Cell Assay and Array Chemical and Biochemical Reactions
A photoreactor for cell assay and array chemical and biochemical reactions has a reaction chamber, an input aperture, and a lamp. A specimen receptacle with a reflective surface is positioned within the reaction chamber. The lamp has a light source, a temperature control system, and a lens. The light source is mounted onto the temperature control system and the lens is mounted onto the temperature control system. Accordingly, the temperature control system is able to moderate the temperature of the light source and the reaction chamber. The input aperture is an inlet that enables the lamp to be mounted onto the reaction chamber and retained in optical communication with the specimen receptacle. The positioning of the input aperture enables the light from the light source to be evenly distributed across an exterior surface of a specimen placed within the specimen receptacle.
Holographic diffraction-through-aperture spectrum splitting system and method
An apparatus for obtaining energy from a polychromatic energy source that emits radiation in a first and a second wavelength band comprises a reflector or an energy receiver having an aperture therein; and a holographic lens that diffracts and focuses the radiation within the first wavelength band from the energy source through said aperture towards a first energy receiver, and transmits the radiation within the second wavelength band from the energy source to the reflector or energy receiver. If a reflector is used, the reflector reflects the radiation transmitted by the holographic lens towards a second energy receiver.
Method for the effective delivery of photonic energy to cultures in a fluid medium
An apparatus to prevent bio-filming during the delivery of photonic energy to a culture or set of organisms in a fluid culture medium, the device including a culture medium, a container configured to house the culture medium, and an assembly to generate and deliver a liquid energy transfer medium between the culture medium and the photonic device, the assembly including one or more apertures sized and shaped to form one or more liquid replenishing lenses and a fluid-light unit in the container to house the photonic device and the liquid energy transfer medium, the photonic device is at least one from among a photoreceptor, a photoemitter, or a combination of the photoreceptor and the photoemitter, and further including a pump coupled to the fluid-light unit, the assembly is configured to convey the photonic energy between the photonic device and the culture medium through the liquid energy transfer medium.
SUSPENSION CELL CULTURE MONITORING APPARATUS
The present invention relates to a suspension cell culture monitoring apparatus including a chamber unit, which is a portion submerged in an incubator in which cells are cultured, that has at least a portion opened by an opening so that a culture medium and suspension cells are allowed to pass therethrough, a lens unit configured to zoom in or zoom out the suspension cells moving through the opening of the chamber unit, which are visible through an observation area of the chamber unit, by adjusting a focus, and a sensor unit configured to acquire an image in which the suspension cells visible through the lens unit are present.

In order to reduce power consumption and make a wireless cell culture monitoring system practical, several methods of temperature compensation are used to replace a method of controlling the temperature of sensing module. Furthermore its power consumption can be significantly reduced by using an adaptive and synchronized light pulse detection technique.
