IMMOBILIZED CELL AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
Provided are a lysine decarboxylase immobilized cell and preparation method thereof.
LIGAND-BINDING FIBER AND CELL CULTURE SUBSTRATE USING SAID FIBER
The invention provides a ligand-bonded fiber in which a ligand having affinity for a cell membrane receptor is immobilized on a fiber precursor, and a cell culture substrate capable of repeating ex vivo amplification of a cell expressing a cell membrane receptor by using the ligand-bonded fiber.
TWO-DIMENSIONAL AND THREE-DIMENSIONAL MICROARRAY CELL CULTURES USING ELASTOMERIC ASSEMBLY SUBSTRATES
The invention provides a method for preparing an ordered cell-containing microarray, and a system for preparing an ordered cell-containing microarray.
ARTIFICIAL ORGANELLES FOR ENZYMATIC COFACTOR REDUCTION
Described herein are engineered organelles comprising multi-component proteins from different species incorporated into a membrane structure with interior and exterior aspects. In one embodiment the artificial organelle incorporates one or more protein complexes that absorb optical energy and catalyze electron transfer in biochemical reactions that can be used to reduce NAD.sup.+ to NADH or analogues thereof.
Carrier element for wastewater treatment and carrier element modification method
The invention relates to the development of a carrier material providing high surface area for biofilm formation in wastewater treatment plants and a carrier material surface modification method for accelerating and enriching biofilm formation.
Microcapsules and methods of using the same
The present disclosure relates to microcapsules, methods of using such microcapsules in the delivery of drugs and probiotic microbes to subjects in need thereof, and methods of using such microcapsules for in vitro culture of microbes. In particular, the microcapsules comprise novel siloxane-based membranes that maintains transport properties essential to communication and growth of microbes.
