Methods for propagating mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) for use in transplantation
Provided are methods for propagating mesenchymal stem cells (MSC), and particularly adipose derived stem cells, including incubating isolated cells obtained from a tissue or organ including MSC in a growth medium including an apoptosis inducing agent, under specified conditions. Further provided is an isolated cell population and kits for performing the methods.
Method for producing B cell population and method for producing monoclonal antibody using same
It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for efficiently producing a B cell population comprising B cells that recognize a specific antigen. According to the present invention, provided is a method for producing a B cell population, comprising: a step (c) of culturing a cell population comprising B cells together with a specific antigen in the absence of IL-21, in the absence of IL-4, and in the presence of a cytokine other than IL-21 and IL-4, while giving stimulation mediated by CD40 and a BAFF receptor to the cells; and a step (d) of culturing the cell population comprising B cells, while giving stimulation mediated by has to the cells, so as to obtain a B cell population comprising B cells that recognize the specific antigen.
INTERLEUKIN-2 IN COMBINATION WITH TNF RECEPTOR FAMILY MEMBERS FOR THE EXPANSION OF T-REGULATORY CELLS
Provided herein are combinations of an IL-2 molecule or mutein and a TNFR agonist, and complexes comprising IL-2/TNFR agonist molecules, such as Fc-bound IL-2/TNFR agonist molecules that preferentially expand and activate T regulatory cells and are amenable to large scale production. Also provided herein are methods of making and using the compositions of the present invention.
METHOD OF PRODUCING MACROPHAGES
The improved 4-5 day, optionally 3-5 day GMP-compliant in-vitro method enables the production of macrophages from monocytes that benefits from a shorter cell culture time, fewer interventions whilst maintaining the desired characteristics of the human macrophages. The present invention describes a method wherein the monocytes are cultured in medium comprising one or more growth actors to stimulate macrophages with a pro-regenerative phenotype. The method described herein is xeno-free, serum-free and GMP compliant. In addition, further disclosed are macrophages produced according to the present invention and the use of said macrophages in the treatment of liver diseases, such as liver cirrhosis.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF GENERATING AN IMMUNE RESPONSE
Provided herein are compositions and methods for use in generating an immune response against a target peptide antigen. Also included, are methods for stabilizing, treating, and eliminating various diseases and conditions associated with target peptide expression.
LARGE-SCALE PRODUCTION OF EXOSOMES FROM PRIMED MESENCHYMAL STROMAL CELLS FOR CLINICAL USE
Embodiments of the disclosure encompass systems, methods, and compositions for producing exosomes from primed mesenchymal stem cells that are expanded in the presence of IFNγ, TNFα, IL-1β, and IL-17. The systems, methods, and compositions ay occur in an automated cell expansion system that allows for controllable parameters and from which cells and exosomes may be harvested at one or more times as part of a particular regimen. In specific embodiments, the exosomes may be provided to an individual in need thereof, including in some cases when the exosomes comprise one or more therapeutic agents.
Anti-cancer T cells and their preparation using coenzyme A
There is described herein, a method for inducing Tc22 lineage T cells from a population of CD8+ T cells, the method comprising: a) providing a population of CD8+ T cells; b) activating the population; and c) culturing or contacting the population of CD8+ T cells with Coenzyme A.
FIBROBLAST HAVING ENHANCED ERYTHROPOIETIN PRODUCTION ABILITY
It was found that, by culturing human fibroblasts using a medium supplemented with TNF-α and IL-4, EPO productivity in the fibroblasts can be improved. As a result, fibroblasts having enhanced EPO productivity were found, and means for improving a state where EPO productivity is decreased, and means for treating renal disorder or renal anemia, using the cells were discovered.
MEDIA FORMULATIONS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING PROGENITOR T CELLS
The present disclosure relates generally to culture media formulations and culture methods. More particularly, the present disclosure provides defined serum-free culture media, kits and methods for generating progenitor T cells and derivatives thereof, including mature T cells. The present disclosure further provides the cells generated using the media, kits and methods, as well as methods of treatment using the generated cells.
ANTI-SIGLEC-9 COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR MODULATING MYELOID CELL INFLAMMATORY PHENOTYPES AND USES THEREOF
The present invention is based, in part, on the discovery of anti-SIGLEC-9 composition (e.g., monoclonal antibodies and antigen-binding fragments thereof), that regulate myeloid cell inflammatory phenotypes, such as suppressive myeloid cells, monocytes, macrophages, neutrophils, and/or dendritic cells, including polarization, activation, and/or function, and methods of using such anti-SIGLEC-9 compositions for therapeutic, diagnostic, prognostic, and screening purposes.
