3D TISSUE COMPOSITE AND METHOD OF PRODUCING 3D TISSUE COMPOSITE

A method of producing a 3D tissue composite, comprising: a preparation step in which a multiple number of sheet-shaped first structures containing first cells are prepared, wherein at least one of the multiple number of first structures holds a second structure containing second cells; a stacking step in which the multiple number of first structures are stacked to form a 3D composite; and a culturing step in which the 3D composite is cultured to form a 3D tissue composite containing first tissues formed from the first cells and second tissues formed from the second cells.

FOOD PRODUCTS COMPRISING CULTIVATED BOVINE CELLS AND METHODS THEREOF

Provided herein are bovine cells that are adapted to grow in growth medium that contains low-serum or no serum and methods thereof. Also provided are food products made from bovine cells cultivated in vitro and methods for harvesting the cells.

COMPOSITION FOR TISSUE REGENERATION, METHOD OF PRODUCTION AND USES THEREOF

A method for obtaining a composition for tissue regeneration, providing M2-macrophages, co-culturing the M2-macrophages with tissue-specific cells in serum free medium; and collecting the supernatant of the co-culture. The compositions obtained by this method are suitable in medicine regenerative treatments, able to regenerate injured tissue. These products are sterile cell-free physiological aqueous solutions that show specific tissue concentration patterns to provide optimal tissue-specific regenerative effects. The compositions may be stored for long periods cryopreserved or lyophilized until its use, avoiding any subsequent blood extraction from the cell-donor, the stored growth factors and/or cytokines biologically active after long-term storage. Moreover, the compositions may be potentially applied in both autologous and allogenic treatments.

Neuromuscular junction

The invention relates to culturing motor neuron cells together with skeletal muscle cells in a fluidic device under conditions whereby the interaction of these cells mimic the structure and function of the neuromuscular junction (NMJ) providing a NMJ-on-chip. Good viability, formation of myo-fibers and function of skeletal muscle cells on fluidic chips allow for measurements of muscle cell contractions. Embodiments of motor neurons co-cultures with contractile myo-fibers are contemplated for use with modeling diseases affecting NMJ's, e.g. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
