Provided are methods and compositions for inducing the reprogramming of a non-pluripotent cell using a small molecule supported vector system to provide an iPSC having desirable properties with a high efficiency. Also provided are reprogramming cells and iPSC populations or clonal cell lines using the provided reprogramming methods and compositions. Further provided are compositions and methods for maintaining and preserving iPSCs while achieving genomic stability of the cells.

The invention provides compositions and methods of treating subjects afflicted with a photoreceptor disorder. Methods for treating a subject suffering from a disorder characterized by photoreceptor cell degeneration are provided, wherein a gene encoding a photosensitive protein is introduced into a retinal cell of a subject. In one aspect of the invention, the retinal cells which receive the photosensitive protein include non-photoreceptor cells such as horizontal cells, amacrine cells, bipolar cells, and ganglion cells.

The invention relates to monoclonal antibody production and isolation, and particularly, although not exclusively, to a novel feeder cell line for culturing a monoclonal antibody-producing B cell. The invention also extends to the use of the feeder cell line in culturing a monoclonal antibody-producing B cell, and isolating the B cell from the cell culture media. The invention further extends to methods for culturing and isolating a monoclonal antibody-producing B cell, as well as a method for isolating a monoclonal antibody.
