INDUCTION OF NEUROGENESIS USING UMBILICAL CORD DERIVED MESENCHYMAL STEM CELLS AND DERIVATIVES THEREOF
Disclosed are means, compositions of matter and protocols useful for treatment of neurological dysfunctions through stimulation of adult neurogenesis using administration of umbilical cord derived mesenchymal stem cells such as JadiCells. In one embodiment viral induced neuropathy is reduced by administration of JadiCells to stimulate neurogenesis. In another embodiment the neurogenic activity of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors is enhanced by administration of JadiCells. In some embodiments administration of JadiCell exosomes, conditioned media, microvesicles and/or apoptotic bodies is utilized to stimulate neurogenesis.
Immunocompatible chorionic membrane products
Provided herein is a placental product comprising an immunocompatible chorionic membrane. Such placental products can be cryopreserved and contain viable therapeutic cells after thawing. The placental product of the present invention is useful in treating a patient with a tissue injury (e.g. wound or burn) by applying the placental product to the injury. Similar application is useful with ligament and tendon repair and for engraftment procedures such as bone engraftment.
Compositions containing amniotic components and methods for preparation and use thereof
Compositions are provided that contain biologically active components of amniotic fluid including growth factors and other proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and metabolites. The compositions containing biologically active components of amniotic fluid can be useful for a range of therapeutic treatments including joint and soft tissue repair, regulation of skin condition, and for use in organ preservation, such as for use in organ transplant procedures. Advantages of the compositions include that they can be reproducibly produced, without the inherent variability of amniotic fluid from individual donors, and that they are free of fetal waste.
ISOLATION, CULTIVATION AND USES OF STEM/PROGENITOR CELLS
The present invention relates to a method of cultivating an epithelial stem/progenitor cell population of the amniotic membrane of umbilical cord, the epithelial stem/progenitor cell population having the capacity to differentiate in multiple cell types.
ADHERENT STROMAL CELLS DERIVED FROM PLACENTAS OF MULTIPLE DONORS AND USES THEREOF
Pharmaceutical compositions comprising adherent stromal cells (ASCs) are provided. The ASCs are obtained from at least two donors. Articles of manufacture comprising the pharmaceutical compositions together with a delivery device for administering the ASCs to a subject are also provided. Also provided are methods of treating various diseases and conditions that are treatable by administering ASCs to a subject in need of treatment.
AMNIOTIC-LIKE EPITHELIAL CELL GENERATION
The present invention relates to a reliable method for producing amniotic-like epithelial cells, using a new methodology. The invention also relates to a composition and the use of said composition comprising amniotic-like epithelial cells or a preparation derived therefrom. Said cells may have particular utility in regenerative medicine, research and/or cosmetic preparations.
Cell line consecutively expressing HLA-G protein and method for preparing the same
The disclosure relates to the establishment of a cell line having immune tolerance property using an optimal temperature profiling technique under a human body-like environment, and use thereof. The stem cell line exhibits immune tolerance property as they consecutively secret and express HLA-G proteins, and the culture medium of the stem cells contains a large amount of proteins capable of recovering various physiological functions and extracellular vesicles, and thus, the novel cell line or a culture medium thereof can be effectively used in various industries such as medicines and cosmetics.
METHOD FOR ISOLATING PLACENTAL TROPHOBLAST CELLS FROM CERVICAL EXFOLIATED CELLS OF PREGNANT WOMAN
The present invention discloses a method for isolating placental trophoblast cells from cervical exfoliated cells of a pregnant woman. Based on a specific antigen or combination expressed on the surface or inside of specific trophoblast cells, the designed microfluidic sorting chip or flow cytometer is used in the method to perform cell sorting of a cell suspension of a placental trophoblast sample, thus obtaining isolated and purified placental trophoblast cells. Compared with conventional methods, the method of the present invention has the advantages of non-invasively obtaining specimens and good specificity. Moreover, the method causes low risk of infection and abortion, allows earlier sampling time and can achieve the synchronous labeling of a plurality of antigens as well as identification and sorting of characteristic fluorescence signals; and the method has greatly improved accuracy and higher reliability and broader coverage area of detection results.
Products derived from amniotic fluid and methods of use
Uncultured amniotic cell and protein fraction products derived from amniotic fluid and methods of preparing and using those compositions are provided. According to the methods of the present invention, uncultured amniotic cell and protein products may be derived from a large sample of amniotic fluid to provide a higher concentration of tissue regeneration components. Described are methods for separating uncultured amniotic cells or protein fractions from other components of amniotic fluid and the resulting uncultured amniotic cell and protein products. Furthermore, the present invention includes methods for delivering the uncultured amniotic cell and protein products to the skin and eye, including before, during, or after a treatment procedure.
UMBILICAL CORD DERIVED REGENERATIVE AND IMMUNE MODULATORY STEM CELL POPULATIONS
The present invention provides universal donor cellular populations derived from umbilical cords possessing ability to elicit immune modulation and evoke regeneration when administered into a mammalian host. Generation of cellular products for clinical use are provided including methodologies of expansion, characterization, and means of therapeutic implementation.
