Lactobacillus acidophilus TW01 isolate and use thereof
Disclosed herein is an isolated strain of Lactobacillus acidophilus TW01, which is deposited at Deutsche Sammlung von Mikroorganismen and Zellkulturen GmbH under an accession number DSM 33990. Also disclosed herein are uses of the isolated strain of Lactobacillus acidophilus TW01 for alleviating an inflammation-related disorder and for improving gut health.
Method for producing γ-aminobutyric acid and fermented culture prepared thereby
A method for producing -aminobutyric acid includes cultivating, in a culture medium containing glutamic acid or a salt thereof, a probiotic composition including at least one lactic acid bacterial strain selected from the group consisting of Bifidobacterium breve CCFM1025 which is deposited at the Guangdong Microbial Culture Collection Center under an accession number GDMCC 60386, Lactobacillus acidophilus TYCA06, Lactobacillus plantarum LPL28, and Bifidobacterium longum subsp. infantis BLI-02 which are deposited at the China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center respectively under accession numbers CGMCC 15210, CGMCC 17954, and CGMCC 15212, Lactobacillus salivarius subsp. salicinius AP-32 which is deposited at the China Center for Type Culture Collection under an accession number CCTCC M 2011127, and combinations thereof.
Method for promoting growth of probiotic microorganism
A method for promoting growth of a probiotic microorganism includes cultivating the probiotic microorganism in a growth medium containing a fermented culture of lactic acid bacterial strains that include Lactobacillus salivarius subsp. salicinius AP-32 deposited at the China Center for Type Culture Collection (CCTCC) under CCTCC M 2011127, Lactobacillus plantarum LPL28 deposited at the China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center (CGMCC) under CGMCC 17954, Lactobacillus acidophilus TYCA06 deposited at the CGMCC under CGMCC 15210, and Bifidobacterium longum subsp. infantis BLI-02 deposited at the CGMCC under CGMCC 15212.
Probiotics useful for eradicating helicobacter pylori infection
New probiotic clones have been obtained having enhanced activity against Helicobacter pylori infection. The new clones are derived from selected strains of Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium animalis lactis sp. They are advantageously non-susceptible to antibiotics currently used in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection, which makes them ideal for co-treatment with said antibiotics in the eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection. Synergistic effects of combinations among the present probiotics and their strong adjuvant effect on the activity of antibiotics on Helicobacter pylori are herein reported.
Microbial method for production of protein isolate/concentrate from oilseed cakes/meals
Alkaline extraction followed by acid precipitation or ultrafiltration method for preparation of protein isolates from oilseeds cakes/meals is followed. The strong alkaline and acidic conditions alter the functional properties of the protein, which adversely affects its quality. The present invention provides a microbial based process to produce protein isolates/concentrates from oilseed cakes/meals or from other similar type of sources either plant or animal origin without addition of strong or diluted acid. The protein is extracted in aqueous media or alkaline aqueous media with or without containing specified salt for specified duration. The extract is centrifuged, mixed with known microbial culture (the process is not limited to the particular strain) and incubated at particular temperature and duration. The precipitated protein is recovered and dried to get protein isolates/concentrates. The process is convertible to purely chemical free process as extraction of protein in potable water, precipitation of protein using microbial culture followed by drying.
Lactobacillus acidophilus GOLDGUT-LA100 having functions of lipid lowering, blood glucose lowering and weight loss and application thereof
The present invention relates to the technical field of microorganisms, in particular to a Lactobacillus acidophilus GOLDGUT-LA100 having functions of lipid lowering, blood glucose lowering and weight loss and application thereof. The Lactobacillus acidophilus GOLDGUT-LA100 provided by the present invention is preserved in China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center, with the preservation number of CGMCC No. 28398. The strain has strong acid resistance, can adapt to the digestive tract environment, and has high bile salt hydrolase activity. At the same time, in animal experiments, the strain significantly reduces blood glucose and serum cholesterol levels, reduces liver fat deposition, reduces adipose tissue inflammation, effectively reduces the weight, and has broad application prospects in the development of products for improving obesity, lowering lipid and lowering blood glucose.
Probiotic strains having increased storage stability
Evolved strains of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus are provided. The evolved strains have probiotic properties and have enhanced storage stability in both wet and dry conditions. The strains of the invention contain key genetic mutations and phenotypic alterations as compared with wild-type.
