Streptococcus thermophilus starter cultures

The present invention relates to a starter culture comprising at least two Streptococcus thermophilus strains, wherein a first and a second Streptococcus thermophilus strain are chosen from RGP group 1, RGP group 2, RGP group 3 and RGP group 4, with the proviso that the first and second Streptococcus thermophilus strains do not belong to the same RGP group.

Lactic acid bacteria with sweetening properties and uses thereof

The invention is directed to a lactose-positive, galactose-negative, Streptococcus thermophilus strain releasing glucose during milk fermentation. This Streptococcus thermophilus strain carries mutation in the glcK gene, in the ccpA gene, in the lacZ gene and/or in the ptsH gene, and optionally in one or more genes, in particular one gene, encoding a protein of the mannose-glucose-specific PTS. The invention also concerns a composition comprising at least one, lactose-positive, galactose-negative, Streptococcus thermophilus strain of the invention, and the use of this strain or composition to manufacture a fermented dairy product.

Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis A32, derived product and use thereof

The present invention provides a Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis A32, derived product and use thereof, the present invention falls in the technical field of microorganisms. In the present invention, the Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis A32 is obtainable by compound mutation on the basis of the original strain L. lactis lxl. Experiments showed that, compared with nisin titre of the original strain L. lactis lxl, the Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis A32 has high nisin yield, and the nisin titre has been improved for 3˜4 times (over 5066.58 IU/mL); in the meanwhile, the growth curve of the Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis A32 is slightly longer than the original strain L. lactis lxl and biomass peaks of them are basically consistent. The present invention has laid a foundation for large scale production of nisin.

Heteropolysaccharides

The present invention relates a heteropolysaccharide characterized in that it is substantially composed of the monosaccharides glucose and galactose and rhamnose and N-acetylgalactosamine and a process for the production thereof. The invention further relates to a bacterium capable of producing said heteropolysaccharide and to the use of the heteropolysaccharide and the bacterium for improving the texture of fermented milk products.

Klebsiella pneumoniae strain inducing inflammation in liver

To identify a microorganism causing the development of primary sclerosing cholangitis associated with ulcerative colitis. A Klebsiella pneumoniae strain inducing inflammation in the liver.

Lactic acid bacterium, blood iron increasing agent, and anemia improving agent

A lactic acid bacterium is provided which has high foodstuff suitability, easy to manufacture, and can increase the blood iron concentration, thereby improving anemia. A lactic acid bacterium of salt-tolerant that increases the blood iron concentration.

Method for preparing a transformed, Salmo salar interferon gamma (IFNG)-producing Lactococcus lactis bacterium

The present invention falls within the technical field of aquaculture, and specifically, the invention relates to a specific solution for preventing and treating bacterial diseases using a Lactococcus lactis lactic acid bacterium transformed to produce an interferon type II (IFN II) immunostimulating cytokine, particularly interferon gamma (IFNg or IFNy). Said transformed bacterium has been deposited in the Chilean Microbial Genetic Resources Collection at INIA with accession number RGM 2416 dated 22 Oct. 2017.

LACTIC ACID BACTERIA COMPOSITION FOR PREPARING FERMENTED FOOD PRODUCTS WITH INCREASED NATURAL SWEETNESS AND FLAVOR
20250160351 · 2025-05-22 · ·

The present invention relates to a composition for producing a fermented milk product comprising (i) at least one Streptococcus thermophilus (St) strain, wherein the St strain is galactose-fermenting, wherein the strain carries a mutation in the DNA sequence of the gick gene encoding a glucokinase protein, wherein the mutation inactivates the glucokinase protein or has a negative effect on expression of the gene, and (ii) at least one Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus (Lb) strain, wherein the Lb strain is lactose-deficient and capable of metabolizing a non-lactose carbohydrate.

COMPOSITE BACTERIAL AGENT AND APPLICATION THEREOF

A composite bacterial agent, and an application thereof. The composite bacterial agent includes Bifidobacterium longum, Enterococcus faecalis, Enterococcus faecium, Ligilactobacillus animalis, and Companilactobacillus muruki, and provides significant effect in treating intestinal disorders and inflammatory bowel disease in felines caused by bacteria.
