A high-strength steel sheet with excellent delayed fracture resistance, having a tensile strength of 1700 MPa or larger, including a predetermined component composition, having a martensite structure whose ratio accounts for 95 area % or more of the entire metallographic structure, and having a transition metal carbide whose ratio accounts for 0.8 volume % or more of the entire metallographic structure.

Disclosed is, as a high-strength steel plate of API X80 grade or higher with a thickness of 38 mm or more, a thick steel plate for structural pipes or tubes that exhibits high strength in the rolling direction and excellent Charpy properties at its mid-thickness part without addition of large amounts of alloying elements. The thick steel plate for structural pipes or tubes disclosed herein has: a specific chemical composition; a microstructure at its mid-thickness part that is a dual-phase microstructure of ferrite and bainite with an area fraction of the ferrite being less than 50%, and that contains ferrite grains with a grain size of 15 μm or less in an area fraction of 80% or more with respect to the whole area of the ferrite; a tensile strength of 620 MPa or more; and a Charpy absorption energy vE.sub.−20+ C. at −20° C. at the mid-thickness part of 100 J or more.
PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING STEEL SHEET HAVING VERY HIGH TENSILE STRENGTH, DUCTILITY AND TOUGHNESS CHARACTERISTICS, AND SHEET THUS PRODUCED
The invention relates to a hot-rolled steel sheet having a tensile strength of greater than 1200 MPa, an R.sub.e/R.sub.m ratio of less than 0.75 and an elongation at break of greater than 10%, the composition of which contains, the contents being expressed by weight: 0.10%≦C≦0.25%; 1%≦Mn≦3%; Al≧0.015%; Si≦1.985%; Mo≦0.30%; Cr≦1.5%; S≦0.015%; P≦0.1%; Co≦1.5%; B≦0.005%; it being understood that 1%≦Si+Al≦2%; Cr +(3×Mo)≦0.3%, the balance of the composition consisting of iron and inevitable impurities resulting from the smelting, the microstructure of the steel consisting of at least 75% bainite, residual austenite in an amount equal to or greater than 5% and martensite in an amount equal to or greater than 2%.

The invention relates to a hot-rolled steel sheet having a tensile strength of greater than 1200 MPa, an R.sub.e/R.sub.m ratio of less than 0.75 and an elongation at break of greater than 10%, the composition of which contains, the contents being expressed by weight: 0.10%≦C≦0.25%; 1%≦Mn≦3%; Al≧0.015%; Si≦1.985%; Mo≦0.30%; Cr≦1.5%; S≦0.015%; P≦0.1%; Co≦1.5%; B≦0.005%; it being understood that 1%≦Si+Al≦2%; Cr +(3×Mo)≦0.3%, the balance of the composition consisting of iron and inevitable impurities resulting from the smelting, the microstructure of the steel consisting of at least 75% bainite, residual austenite in an amount equal to or greater than 5% and martensite in an amount equal to or greater than 2%.
CARBON STEEL AND AUSTENITIC STAINLESS STEEL ROLLING CLAD PLATE MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
Disclosed in the present invention is a manufacturing method for a carbon steel and austenitic stainless-steel rolling clad plate, comprising the steps of: (1) obtaining a blank material of a carbon steel layer and a blank material of a stainless-steel layer; (2) assembling blank materials; (3) cladding and rolling; (4) cold rolling; (5) first annealing; and (6) second annealing. The carbon steel and austenitic stainless-steel rolling clad plate has two unique annealing processes, so that the clad plate has the performance advantages of the austenitic stainless-steel and the carbon steel. In addition, further disclosed in the present invention is a carbon steel and austenitic stainless-steel rolling clad plate manufactured by this method.

An embodiment of the present invention provides steel for hot forming, a hot-formed member, and methods for manufacturing same, the steel comprising, by wt %, 0.06-0.1% of C, 0.05-0.6% of Si, 0.6-2% of Mn, 0.05% or less of P, 0.02% or less of S, 0.01-0.1% of Al, 0.01-0.8% of Cr, 0.01-0.5% of Mo, 0.02% or less of N, and the remainder of Fe and inevitable impurities, wherein an alloy factor represented by relational expression 1 below is 7 or more, and the number of carbides having a circular equivalent diameter of 0.5 μm or greater is 10.sup.5/mm.sup.2 or less.
Alloy factor=I(Mn)×I(Si)×I(Cr)×I(Mo) [Relational expression 1] where the I values for the components are I(Mn)=3.34×Mn+1, I(Si)=0.7×Si+1, I(Cr)=2.16×Cr+1, and I(Mo)=3×Mo+1, respectively, and the content of each component is expressed as wt %.
