The present invention relates to a hot stamped component, a precoated steel sheet used for hot stamping, and a hot stamping process. The hot stamped component of the present invention is provided with a coating of aluminium or an aluminium alloy on at least one surface of the base steel, the coating is produced by interdiffusion between the base steel and a precoating of aluminium or aluminium alloy, and the coating has a thickness of 6 to 26 μm.

A steel for mining chain and a manufacturing method thereof, wherein the steel has compositions by weight percentage: C: 0.20-0.28%, Si: 0.01-0.40%, Mn: 0.50-1.50%, P≤0.015%, S≤0.005%, Cr: 0.30-2.00%, Ni: 0.50-2.00%, Mo: 0.10-0.80%, Cu: 0.01-0.30%, Al: 0.01-0.05%, Nb: 0.001-0.10%, V: 0.001-0.10%, H≤0.00018%, N≤0.0150%, O≤0.0020%, and the balance is Fe and inevitable impurities. The manufacturing method comprises steps of smelting, refining and vacuum treatment, casting, heating, forging or rolling, and quenching and tempering heat treatment processes. The steel in the present invention has high strength and good impact toughness, good elongation and reduction of area. The steel can also resist stress corrosion cracking and have good weather resistance, wear resistance and fatigue resistance, which can be used in scenarios where the steel having high strength and toughness is required, such as construction machinery and marine engineering.

Disclosed are thermoformed component having excellent coating adhesion and a method for manufacturing the same. The thermoformed component comprises a substrate layer and an aluminum coating coated on at least one surface of the substrate layer, wherein the average roughness Ra of a surface of the thermoformed component is between 1.0 μm and 3.0 μm, the peak height and the peak-to-valley height Rt are between 8 μm and 30 μm, and the roughness peak count Rpc is greater than or equal to 50. The thermoformed component has good paintability, good coating adhesion and good corrosion resistance, and is very suitable for automotive parts.

The present invention relates to a process for forming a metal component (20), the process comprising the steps of heating a metal blank (20) coated with a protective layer; cooling said metal blank (20) in a confined space (14), said cooling involving cooling by means of a gas, the gas being cooled by heat exchange with a cooling surface of a heat sink (22) inside said confined space (14), wherein a low frequency sound wave is provided into said confined space (14) in order to improve heat exchange both between the gas and a cooling surface of the at least one heat sink (22), and between the gas and the metal component (20), wherein the heated coated blank is cooled to a temperature below the melting point of the protective layer, and forming the coated blank to a component. The invention also relates to a production line for performing the process.
High fracture toughness, high strength, precipitation hardenable stainless steel
A precipitation hardenable, martensitic stainless steel is disclosed. The alloy has the following broad composition in weight percent. TABLE-US-00001 Ni 10.5-12.5 Co 1.0-6.0 Mo 1.0-4.0 Ti 1.5-2.0 Cr 8.5-11.5 Al Up to 0.5 Mn 1.0 max. Si 0.75 max. B 0.01 max.
The balance of the alloy is iron and the usual impurities found in commercial grades of precipitation hardenable martensitic stainless steels as known to those skilled in the state of the art in melting practice for such steels. A method of making parts from the alloy and an article of manufacture made from the alloy are also described.
