Method for recovering uranium from components contaminated with uranium oxide
A process for recovering uranium from components contaminated with uranium oxide includes providing a cleaning apparatus with a cleaning solution for dissolving the uranium oxide of the components, carrying out a cleaning process by introducing a batch of components into the cleaning apparatus, and carrying out a measurement for determining the uranium content of the components. The cleaning and the measuring are repeated if a limit value for the uranium content is exceeded. The components are discharged from the process if the uranium content falls below a limit value. The cleaning is carried out on a plurality of successive batches of components until a control measurement indicates an unsatisfactory cleaning action of the cleaning solution. The uranium oxide dissolved in the cleaning solution is recovered after indication of the unsatisfactory cleaning action.
Advanced Beneficiation Process for Beneficiation, Mobilization, Extraction, Separation, and Concentration of Mineralogical Resources
A method for beneficiation of mineralogical materials that comprises using a one or more of a suite of processes including fluidized bed separation, plasma-based stimulation or enhancement of chemical reactions using a Reactive X-Ray Chemical Processor, field enhancement of chemical reactions and process and drying. All of the processes can be used singly, jointly, simultaneously or sequentially in multiple stages. The methods are nearly non-polluting and serve to replace polluting wet chemistry and other beneficiation techniques.
Process for removing uranium in copper concentrate via magnetic separation
The present invention describes a process for removing uranium from a copper concentrate by magnetic separation (low and high field) to reduce the uranium content to commercially acceptable levels.
Beneficiation process for enhancing uranium mineral processing
The invention relates to a beneficiation process for uranium ores comprising clay and carbonate minerals, the process comprising: performing a hydrocyclone step to obtain a hydrocyclone underflow fraction substantially comprising the uranium component; treating the hydrocyclone underflow fraction to effect a separation of carbonate and uranium minerals; and recovering the uranium-bearing minerals to produce a uranium concentrate.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DRY ABLATION BENEFICATION OF ORE
A system and method for dry ablation beneficiation of ore. The system comprises a nozzle to emit an air stream, and a feeder to provide ore particles for entraining in the air stream and colliding. The ore comprises gangue grains bound together with a cementing material. The cementing material comprises a desired material. The collisions are controlled to help preferentially break the cementing material over breaking the bonds holding a gangue grain together. The system also comprises a classifier to separate broken cementing material from the remaining material (which includes gangue grains) based on size. The method comprises entraining the ore particles in an air stream and colliding to preferentially break the cementing material. The ore particles may be collided with each other or a surface. The broken cementing materials are then separated from the remaining materials (which includes gangue grains). The enriched ore is the separated cementing material.
URANIUM PROCESSING USING HYDROCYCLONE BENEFICIATION
The disclosure relates to a beneficiation process for uranium ore comprising a hydrocyclone step that produces an underflow fraction containing uranium values for further processing and an overflow fraction containing fine particulate waste material
Process and apparatus for producing uranium or a rare earth element
In a process for producing uranium and/or at least one rare earth element selected from the group consisting of cerium, dysprosium, erbium, europium, gadolinium, holmium, lanthanum, lutetium, neodymium, praseodymium, promethium, samarium, scandium, terbium, thulium, ytterbium and yttrium out of an ore, the ore is mixed with sulphuric acid with a concentration of at least 95 wt.-% to a mixture, wherein the mixture is granulated to pellets. The pellets are fed into at least one fluidized bed fluidized by a fluidizing gas for a thermal treatment at temperatures between 200 and 1000 C. The at least one fluidized bed is developed such that it at least partly surrounds a gas supply tube for a gas or a gas mixture fed into the reactor and the gas or gas mixture is used as a heat transfer medium.
