Metal powder for additive manufacturing
A metal powder having a composition including the following elements, expressed in content by weight: 6.5%≤Si≤10%, 4.5%≤Nb≤10%, 0.2%≤B≤2.0%, 0.2%≤Cu≤2.0%, C≤2% and optionally containing Ni≤10 wt % and/or Co≤10 wt % and/or Cr≤7 wt % and/or Zr as a substitute for any part of Nb on a one-to-one basis and/or Mo as a substitute for any part of Nb on a one-to-one basis and/or P as a substitute for any part of Si on a one-to-one basis, the balance being Fe and unavoidable impurities resulting from the elaboration, the metal powder having a microstructure including at least 5% in area fraction of an amorphous phase, the balance being made of crystalline ferritic phases with a grain size below 20 μm and possible precipitates, the metal powder having a mean sphericity SPHT of at least 0.80.
Fe-Cr redox flow battery systems and methods utilizing chromium complexes with nitrogen-containing ligands
A redox flow battery system includes an anolyte having chromium ions in solution, wherein at least a portion of the chromium ions form a chromium complex with at least one of the following: NH.sub.3, NH.sub.4.sup.+, CO(NH.sub.2).sub.2, SCN.sup.−, or CS(NH.sub.2).sub.2; a catholyte having iron ions in solution; a first half-cell including a first electrode in contact with the anolyte; a second half-cell including a second electrode in contact with the catholyte; and a first separator separating the first half-cell from the second half-cell.

A redox flow battery system includes an anolyte having chromium ions in solution, wherein at least a portion of the chromium ions form a chromium complex with at least one of the following: NH.sub.3, NH.sub.4.sup.+, CO(NH.sub.2).sub.2, SCN.sup.−, or CS(NH.sub.2).sub.2; a catholyte having iron ions in solution; a first half-cell including a first electrode in contact with the anolyte; a second half-cell including a second electrode in contact with the catholyte; and a first separator separating the first half-cell from the second half-cell.
METAL-Si BASED POWDER, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, METAL-Si BASED SINTERED BODY, SPUTTERING TARGET, AND METAL-Si BASED THIN FILM MANUFACTURING METHOD
A metal-Si based powder contains a metal-Si based particle including a plurality of crystal phase grains. The crystal phase grains include a crystal phase containing a compound of a metal and Si. The crystal phase grains have an average grain size of, for example, 20 μm or less. The metal-Si based particle has an average particle size of, for example, 5 to 100 μm.
HYDROGEN STORAGE ALLOYS
The present disclosure relates to TiMn-based or TiCrMn-based hydrogen storage alloys capable of absorbing and releasing hydrogen. In preferred embodiments the disclosure relates to TiMn-based or TiCrMn-based hydrogen storage alloys comprising ferrovanadium (VFe).
Sliding member
To provide a sliding member, such as a piston ring for an internal combustion engine, having low friction and excellent toughness. The above-described problem is solved by a sliding member (10) such as a piston ring coated with a Cr—B—Ti—V—(Mn, Mo)—N-based alloy film (2) on a sliding surface (11) thereof, and configured so that the alloy film (2) contains one or both of Mn and Mo and has a total content of the Mn and the Mo within a range of 2 mass % or less. Preferably, a B content is within a range of 0.1 mass % to 1.5 mass %, inclusive, a V content is within a range of 0.05 mass % to 1 mass %, inclusive, and a Ti content is within a range of 0.05 mass % to 1.5 mass %, inclusive.
Sliding member
To provide a sliding member, such as a piston ring for an internal combustion engine, having low friction and excellent toughness. The above-described problem is solved by a sliding member (10) such as a piston ring coated with a Cr—B—Ti—V—(Mn, Mo)—N-based alloy film (2) on a sliding surface (11) thereof, and configured so that the alloy film (2) contains one or both of Mn and Mo and has a total content of the Mn and the Mo within a range of 2 mass % or less. Preferably, a B content is within a range of 0.1 mass % to 1.5 mass %, inclusive, a V content is within a range of 0.05 mass % to 1 mass %, inclusive, and a Ti content is within a range of 0.05 mass % to 1.5 mass %, inclusive.
Silicon based alloy, method for the production thereof and use of such alloy
The present invention relates to a silicon based alloy comprising between 45 and 95% by weight of Si; max 0.05% by weight of C; 0.4-30% by weight Cr; 0.01-10% by weight of Al; 0.01-0.3% by weight of Ca; max 0.10% by weight of Ti; up to 25% by weight of Mn; 0.005-0.07% by weight of P; 0.001-0.02% by weight of S; the balance being Fe and incidental impurities in the ordinary amount, a method for the production of said alloy and the use thereof.
Extreme ultraviolet mask blank hard mask materials
Extreme ultraviolet (EUV) mask blanks, methods for their manufacture and production systems therefor are disclosed. The EUV mask blanks comprise a substrate; a multilayer stack of reflective layers on the substrate; a capping layer on the multilayer stack of reflecting layers; an absorber layer on the capping layer, the absorber layer comprising a tantalum-containing material; and a hard mask layer on the absorber layer, the hard mask layer comprising a hard mask material selected from the group consisting of CrO, CrON, TaNi, TaRu and TaCu.
REPAIR COATING AND METHOD FOR REPAIRING A DAMAGED PORTION OF A STEEL MEMBER
A method for repairing a damaged portion of a steel member that includes at least one of a coating and a plating. The method includes applying to the damaged portion of the steel member a coating composition to produce a repair coating. The coating composition includes nickel, chromium, and carbon.
