The present invention relates to an amorphous alloy corresponding to the formula:
Co.sub.aNi.sub.bMo.sub.c(C.sub.1-xB.sub.x).sub.dX.sub.e
wherein X is one or several elements selected from the group consisting of Cu, Si, Fe, P, Y, Er, Cr, Ga, Ta, Nb, V and W; wherein the indices a to e and x satisfy the following conditions: 55≤a≤75 at. % 0≤b≤15 at. % 7≤c≤17 at. % 15≤d≤23 at. % 0.1≤x≤0.9 at. % 0≤e≤10 at. %, each element selected from the group having a content≤3 at. % and preferably ≤2 at. %, the balance being impurities.
Method of preparing composite material for semiconductor test socket that is highly heat-dissipative and durable, and composite material prepared thereby
This application relates to a method of preparing a composite material for a semiconductor test socket, and a composite material prepared through the method. In one embodiment, the method includes preparing a powder mixture including (i) a metal powder comprising aluminum or aluminum alloy particles and magnesium particles and (ii) a polymer powder. The method may also include sintering the powder mixture to produce the composite material using a spark plasma sintering (SPS) process. This application also relates to a method of manufacturing a semiconductor test socket, the method including forming an insulating portion of the semiconductor test socket with the composite material. This application further relates to a semiconductor test socket produced through the method.

A sintered friction material is formed by pressure sintering mixed powder at 800° C. or above, the mixed powder consisting of, in mass %, Cu and/or Cu alloy: 40.0 to 80.0%, Ni: 0% or more and less than 5.0%, Sn: 0 to 10.0%, Zn: 0 to 10.0%, VC: 0.5 to 5.0%, Fe and/or Fe alloy: 2.0 to 40.0%, lubricant: 5.0 to 30.0%, metal oxide and/or metal nitride: 1.5 to 30.0%, and the balance being impurity.

The present invention relates to a density-optimized and high temperature-resistant alloy based on molybdenum-sili-con-boron, wherein vanadium is added to the base alloy in order to reduce the density.
Aluminum-based composite material and method for producing the same
An aluminum-based composite material includes a plurality of coarse crystalline grains (3) of pure aluminum, and a plurality of fine crystalline grains (4) each having an aluminum matrix (1), and a dispersion material (2) dispersed inside the aluminum matrix and formed by reacting a portion or all of an additive with aluminum in the aluminum matrix. The fine crystalline grains exist among the coarse crystalline grains, and the fine crystalline grains have crystalline grain diameters smaller than crystalline grain diameters of the coarse crystalline grains.

An additive manufacturing method of producing a metal alloy article may involve: Providing a supply of a metal alloy in powder form; providing a supply of a nucleant material, the nucleant material lowering the nucleation energy required to crystallize the metal alloy; blending the supply of metal alloy powder and nucleant material to form a blended mixture; forming the blended mixture into a first layer; subjecting at least a portion of the first layer to energy sufficient to raise the temperature of the first layer to at least the liquidus temperature of the metal alloy; allowing at least a portion of the first layer to cool to a temperature sufficient to allow the metal alloy to recrystallize; forming a second layer of the blended mixture on the first layer; and repeating the subjecting and allowing steps on the second layer to form an additional portion of the metal alloy article.

A method includes applying a material coating to a surface of a machine component, wherein the material coating is formed from a combination of a hardfacing material, aluminum-containing particles, and a braze material. The method also includes thermally treating the material coating at a temperature to generate an oxide layer comprising aluminum from the aluminum-containing particles, wherein the oxide layer is configured to reduce oxidation of the hardfacing material, and the braze material is configured to facilitate binding between the material coating and the surface of the machine component.

The present disclosure provides a TiCB—Al seed alloy, a manufacturing method thereof and a heritable aluminum alloy. The TiCB—Al seed alloy includes an Al matrix and TiC.sub.B@TiBC seed crystals dispersed on the Al matrix, wherein the TiC.sub.B@TiBC seed crystal comprises a core part and a shell part, the core part contains B-doped TiC.sub.B, and the shell part covers at least a part of the core part and contains a TiBC ternary phase, wherein the B-doped TiC.sub.B refers to a TiC.sub.B phase formed by B atoms occupying C vacancies in a TiC.sub.x crystal, and the TiBC ternary phase refers to a ternary phase composed of Ti, B and C, wherein x<1.
