The trough further includes a second end, opposing the first end, comprising a second gate system. The trough further includes a roller connected, inside the trough, to opposing inside walls of the plurality of connected walls. The trough further includes a sump disposed within the trough. The trough further includes an inlet connected to the sump.
Galvanizing Furnace
A galvanizing furnace (1) with a galvanizing vat (6) and a furnace housing (2) surrounding the galvanizing vat (6), which furnace housing has a rectangular cross-section. The furnace housing (2) has two opposite longitudinal sidewalls (4) and two opposite end walls (5) and further comprises burners for heating molten zinc in the galvanizing vat (6). In the areas of two diagonally opposite corners of the furnace housing (2), at least one first receptacle (15) is provided for a burner. In the areas of the other two diagonally opposite corners of the furnace housing (2), a second receptacle (16) is provided for a burner. The burners are arranged optionally either in the first receptacles (15) or in the second receptacles (16). Flames produced by the burners are conducted in the area between a longitudinal sidewall (4) of the furnace housing (2) and the opposite wall of the galvanizing vat (6).
Method for extending the campaign life of stabilizers for a coating line
A steel processing line includes a dip tub and a stab roll. The dip tub is filled with a quantity of molten metal. At least a portion of the stab roll is submerged in the quantity of molten metal. The stab roll includes two journals. Each journal is received by an opening defined by a roller sleeve including a ceramic or refractory material. The roller sleeve is disposed between each journal and a bearing block. An inner dimension of each roller sleeve and an outer dimension of each respective journal defines a clearance. The inner dimension of each roller sleeve and the outer dimension of each respective journal is configured such that the clearance persists as the stab roll and the pair of roller sleeves are heated by the molten metal. Alternatively, inserts are fastened to an outer surface of each journal in lieu of the roller sleeves.
Component for hot-dip metal plating bath
A component for a hot-dip metal plating bath includes a base material and a thermal spray coating disposed to cover a surface of the base material. The base material includes ferritic stainless steel that contains: C: 0.10% to 0.50% by mass; Si: 0.01% to 4.00% by mass; Mn: 0.10% by mass to 3.00% by mass; Cr: 15.0% to 30.0% by mass; a total of Nb, V, Ti, and Ta: 0.9% by mass to 5.0% by mass; and a balance of Fe and unavoidable impurities. The ferritic stainless steel includes a microstructure that includes a ferrite phase as a main phase and a crystallized carbide, an area fraction of a Nb carbide, a Ti carbide, a V carbide, a Ta carbide, and a composite carbide thereof to the crystallized carbide of 30% or more. The hot-dip metal plating bath contains 50% by mass or more of Al.

The invention relates to a device for the hot-dip galvanizing of components, comprising a galvanizing tank for holding the zinc melt in a tank interior formed by a wall of the galvanizing tank, according to the invention a monitoring apparatus being provided for monitoring the wall thickness of the wall of the galvanizing tank during the galvanizing operation. The invention further relates to a corresponding method for hot-dip galvanizing.

A component for a hot-dip metal plating bath includes a base material and a thermal spray coating disposed to cover a surface of the base material. [Problem] To provide: a molten metal plating furnace that can increase plating quality and work efficiency; a system for producing and method for producing a metal plated product; and a metal plated steel tube obtained by means of the method for producing. [Solution] The system for producing has at least one plating implementation unit that performs molten metal plating of a plating processing subject, and at least one plating implementation unit has a plating bath and a heating device for heating the plating bath, wherein in the heating device, an array of fuel filling openings and an array of air filling openings are formed that are facing in a manner so as to discharge air and fuel to a combustion region in common along a combustion chamber, the effective opening cross-sectional size of at least the majority of the openings of at least one of the opening arrays can be adjusted by means of an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the extent of a medium filling opening array, and when the size of both opening arrays can be adjusted, individual adjustment of the arrays is possible.
METHOD FOR GALVANIZING OBJECTS USING A TROUGH
A method of galvanizing a workpiece. The method is performed using a trough. The trough includes connected walls configured to hold a molten galvanization material within the trough. The trough also includes a first end including a first gate system. The trough also includes a second end, opposing the first end, including a second gate system. The trough also includes a roller connected, inside the trough, to opposing inside walls of the connected walls. The trough also includes a sump disposed within the trough. The method also includes pumping the molten galvanization material into the sump until the molten galvanization material submerges the roller. The method also includes driving the workpiece through the first gate system, over the roller and through the molten galvanization material, and through the second gate system.
