MULTI-ENVIRONMENTAL BARRIER COATING, PROCESSES FOR COATING ARTICLES, AND THEIR COATED ARTICLES
A coated article including an article having a surface; an oxidation resistant bond coat layer deposited on the surface, the oxidation resistant bond coat layer comprising a metal silicide phase, a crystalline ceramic phase and an amorphous ceramic phase, wherein the metal silicide phase has an aspect ratio greater than 1:1 but less than 50:1.
CMAS-RESISTANT ENVIRONMENTAL BARRIER AND THERMAL BARRIER COATINGS
In some examples, an article for a high-temperature mechanical system including a substrate and a doped calcia-magnesia-alumina-silicate resistant (doped CMAS-resistant) layer on the substrate. The doped CMAS-resistant layer is a thermal barrier coating or an environmental barrier coating and includes a calcia dopant.

METHOD FOR MAKING HIGH LUBRICITY ABRADABLE MATERIAL AND ABRADABLE COATING
An abradable powder composition is includes a metal component, a lubricant component, and a polymer component. A portion of the metal component is wrapped in the lubricant component to achieve high lubricity and abradability. The abradable powder composition can be used to form an abradable seal coating provided for use in a turbo machinery having a housing and a wheel having multiple blades. The housing houses the wheel which rotates therein. The seal coating is formed on the inner walls of housing adjacent where the wheel blades pass during their rotation. When the wheel is rotated such that, the blades contact the seal coating, it is abraded to form a close fit gap. The abradable seal coating preferably does not produce significant wear of the blade tips or transfer abradable material significantly to the blade tips upon being abraded.
WIND TURBINE BLADE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A wind turbine blade includes a base member formed of FRP and having a blade shape, an intermediate layer arranged on the base member and formed of metal, cermet, ceramic, or a mixture of at least one thereof and resin as a major constituent, and an erosion-resistant overcoat arranged on the intermediate layer and formed of a spray film having a porosity of 5% or lower.
PLASMA SPRAYING MATERIAL
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a plasma spraying material with which it is possible to form an HAp film that has high hardness and is not susceptible to abrasion, even under conditions involving plasma spraying with low flame energy. In the present invention, an HAp powder having an average particle diameter (D.sub.50) of 15-40 μm and a pore volume of 0.01-0.30 cc/g at a pore diameter of 2000 nm or less as measured through mercury intrusion makes it possible to form an HAp film that has high hardness, is not susceptible to abrasion, and can be subjected to plasma spraying, even under conditions involving plasma spraying with low flame energy.

Manufacturing method for spherical YOF-based powder, and spherical YOF-based powder and YOF-based coating layer manufactured thereby
Proposed is a method for manufacturing a spherical YOF-based powder. Specifically, proposed is a method for manufacturing a spherical YOF-based powder. The YOF-based powder injected into the plasma jet and melted into the refrigerant in a droplet state is sprayed and quenched, thereby improving density and controlling the component ratio through particle spheroidization.

LOW TEMPERATURE SINTERED COATINGS FOR PLASMA CHAMBERS
A method for forming a coating on a component of a substrate processing system includes arranging the component in a processing chamber and applying a ceramic material to form the coating on one or more surfaces of the component. The ceramic material is comprised of a mixture including a rare earth oxide and having a grain size of less than 150 nm and is applied while a temperature within the processing chamber is less than 400° C. The coating has a thickness of less than 30 μm. A heat treatment process is performed on the coated component in a heat treatment chamber. The heat treatment process includes increasing a temperature of the heat treatment chamber from a first temperature to a second temperature that does not exceed a melting temperature of the mixture over a first period and maintaining the second temperature for a second period.
