DRY-JET-WET SPINNING OF MULTILAYERED FIBER WITH FORCED ASSEMBLY PROCESS
Fabricating a multilayered polymer nanocomposite fiber includes injecting a first polymer solution and a second polymer solution to a head of spinneret to yield a two-layered fiber precursor in the spinneret, passing the two-layered fiber precursor through one or more multipliers in the spinneret to yield a multilayered fiber precursor having 2.sup.n+1 layers, passing the multilayered fiber precursor through a gap between an exit of the spinneret and into a coagulation bath, and coagulating the multilayered fiber precursor in the coagulation bath to yield a multilayered polymer nanocomposite fiber. The multilayered polymer nanocomposite fiber includes alternating layers of a first polymer formed from the first polymer solution and a second polymer formed from the second polymer solution. The second polymer solution includes carbon nanostructures.

Microporous nanofiber films
The present invention generally relates to the design and manufacture of nanofiber layers, webs, films, or membranes that may be self-supporting and can function as standalone products. More particularly, the present invention relates to a microporous nanofiber films and the use of such films in a wide variety of products and applications, including applications where physical property tuning is typically limited. Generally, the microporous films of the present invention can function as a standalone nanofiber membrane or can be bonded to other microporous films to produce a layered stacked film stack with customizable properties. Unlike conventional microporous films available in today's market, the microporous films of the present invention can be lighter, require less raw material cost to produce, and can improve operating performances in a variety of applications.

Methods for producing through-fluid bonded nonwoven webs
A method of creating a soft and lofty continuous fiber nonwoven web is provided. The method includes providing first and second, different molten polymers to a spinneret defining a plurality of orifices and flowing a fluid intermediate the spinneret and a moving porous member. The method includes using the fluid to draw the first and second molten polymers, in a direction toward the porous member, through at least some of the plurality of orifices to form a plurality of individual continuous fiber strands. The method includes depositing the continuous fiber strands onto the porous member at a first location to produce an intermediate continuous fiber nonwoven web, and intermittently varying, in at least two different zones, a vacuum force applied to the moving porous member and to the intermediate web downstream of the first location and without the addition of more continuous fibers and without any heat applied.

Electrospinning device and configuration method
An electrospinning device is for manufacturing material that includes aligned nano-fibers. The device includes a rotor and more than one electrically conducting protrusions disposed on the surface of the rotor and spaced apart from one another. The protrusions are configured such that an electrostatic field created when a potential difference is applied between the rotor and a target is concentrated at the tips of the protrusions and decreases between neighboring protrusions.
