A heat-generating fabric contains an modacrylic fiber A and an animal hair fiber. The modacrylic fiber A contains an infrared absorber inside of the fiber, in an amount of 1 to 30% by weight with respect to the total weight of the modacrylic fiber, and the fabric has a heat-shielding rate of less than 40% as measured according to JIS L 1951:2019. The heat-generating fabric contains a first yarn and a second yarn whose fiber composition is different from that of the first yarn. The first yarn may contain the modacrylic fiber A, and the second yarn may contain the animal hair fiber. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a fabric with good heat-generating performance and durability, and a textile product containing the fabric.

Fabrics including a single-ply yarn are described herein along with fabrics that have low picks per inch or low courses per inch. The fabrics may comprise modacrylic fibers, meta-aramid fibers, anti-static fibers, and optionally para-aramid fibers, and the fabrics may comprise: about 10% or 20% to about 60% or 80% modacrylic fibers by weight of the fabric; about 20% or 40% to about 80% meta-aramid fibers by weight of the fabric; about 0.1% to about 2% anti-static fibers by weight of the fabric; and about 0% to about 10% para-aramid fibers by weight of the fabric.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING ACRYLIC FIBER
A method for producing acrylic fiber includes preparing a spinning solution including an acrylic copolymer, dimethyl sulfoxide, water, and a polyphosphate; and subjecting the spinning solution to wet spinning, wherein the acrylic copolymer includes acrylonitrile in an amount of 20 to 85 mass %, vinyl chloride in an amount of 14.5 to 79.5 mass %, and a sulfonic acid group-containing monomer in an amount of 0.5 to 10 mass % with respect to a total mass of the acrylic copolymer.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING ACRYLIC FIBER
A method for producing acrylic fiber includes preparing a spinning solution including an acrylic copolymer, dimethyl sulfoxide, water, and a polyphosphate; and subjecting the spinning solution to wet spinning, wherein the acrylic copolymer includes acrylonitrile in an amount of 20 to 85 mass %, vinyl chloride in an amount of 14.5 to 79.5 mass %, and a sulfonic acid group-containing monomer in an amount of 0.5 to 10 mass % with respect to a total mass of the acrylic copolymer.

ACRYLIC-FIBER MANUFACTURING METHOD
A method for manufacturing an acrylic fiber uses a spinning solution in which an acrylic polymer is dissolved in an organic solvent, the method including reducing an amount of organic solvent by repeatedly spraying water onto coagulated filaments obtained by solidifying the spinning solution and pressing the coagulated filaments with nip rolls. The nip rolls may apply a nip pressure of 0.2 MPa or higher. Thus, a method for manufacturing an acrylic fiber with which an organic solvent in the acrylic fiber can be removed within a short period of time without using a water bath is provided.
