A fiber obtained using the novel polyamide polymer according to the present invention, particularly, a fiber obtained by spinning the polymer according to the present invention may have high strength and high elasticity, such that the fiber may be applied to various industrial fields.
Fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin filament and shaped product of same
A fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin filament is obtained by impregnating a continuous reinforcing fiber with a thermoplastic resin, and satisfies all of conditions (a) to (c). (a) The volume ratio of a reinforcing fiber in a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin filament is 30 to 80%; and the volume ratio of a thermoplastic resin in a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin filament is 70 to 20%. (b) The thickness of a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin filament is 0.01 to 3 mm. (c) The length of a filament contained in a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin filament is 1 m or more.
Crosslinked rubber composition
A crosslinked rubber composition contains a rubber component and para-aramid short fibers having a filament fineness of 2.5 dtex or more and dispersed in the rubber component.
IN-SITU HYDROPHOBICALLY MODIFIED ARAMID NANO AEROGEL FIBER AS WELL AS PREPARATION METHOD AND USES THEREOF
An in-situ hydrophobically modified aramid nano aerogel fiber as well as a preparation method and uses thereof are provided. The preparation method includes: providing an aramid nano spinning solution; preparing a hydrophobically modified aramid nano aerogel fiber by using a spinning technology, wherein the coagulating bath adopted by the spinning technology includes a first organic solvent and a halogenated reagent including a monochloroalkane, a monochloroalkane, a dibromoalkane, a dichloroalkane and a trichloroalkane; and then drying to obtain the in-situ hydrophobically modified aramid nano aerogel fiber. The in-situ hydrophobically modified aramid nano aerogel fiber has a unique three-dimensional porous network structure, low heat conductivity, high porosity, high tensile strength and elongation at break, a certain spinnability and structure stability, and can be applied to the field of textiles. A fabric knitted with the hydrophobic fibers has a self-cleaning ability.
FABRIC AND PROTECTIVE PRODUCT
The invention addresses the problem of providing a cloth and a protective product, which are excellent not only in flame retardancy but also in protection performance against electric arcs, and can further be provided with any color appearance. As a means for resolution, in a cloth including a flame-retardant fiber, a UV absorber or carbon particles are contained in the cloth, and the cloth is configured to have a lightness index L-value of 25 or more.
PROCESS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF A FIBER COMPRISING META-ARAMID
A process for manufacturing a fiber including meta-aramid having a breaking tenacity of at least 300 mN/tex including the steps of preparing a spin dope including meta-aramid and sulfuric acid having a concentration of at least 80 wt % and passing the spin dope through a spinneret into a coagulation bath, wherein the spin dope has a meta-aramid concentration of at least 10 wt %. The invention also pertains to a meta-aramid fiber, a multifilament yarn, a textile sheet and protective clothing.
POLYMERIC FIBER MATERIALS FOR THERMAL AND MECHANICAL PROTECTION AND METHODS OF MAKING
System, devices and methods for the fabrication of polymeric fibers, as well as resulting polymeric fibers, polymeric fiber materials and uses thereof are described. The polymeric fibers include poly(para-phenylene terephthalamide) (PPTA) fibers having an average fiber diameter in a range of 300 nm to 3 μm, and having an average Young's modulus in a range of 1 GPa to 100 GPa. Some materials including a plurality of the polymeric fibers have a thermal conductivity (k) in a range of 0.005 W/(m.Math.K) to 10 W/(m.Math.K) as measured perpendicular to a plane of the material.
SPINNING DOPE FOR ARAMID AND CARBON-NANOTUBE COMPOSITE FIBER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ARAMID AND CARBON-NANOTUBE COMPOSITE FIBER USING SAME
Disclosed are a spinning dope for an aramid and carbon-nanotube composite fiber and a method of manufacturing an aramid and carbon-nanotube composite fiber using the same.
FLAME RESISTANT FABRICS HAVING FIBERS CONTAINING ENERGY ABSORBING AND/OR REFLECTING ADDITIVES
Embodiments of the invention relate to flame resistant fabrics containing fibers having at least one energy absorbing and/or reflecting additive incorporated into the fibers. Inclusion of such fibers into the fabric increases the arc rating/fabric weight ratio of the fabric while still complying with all requisite thermal protective requirements.
Electrospinning Aramid Nanofibers
Example methods and articles of manufacture related to electrospun aramid nanofibers are provided. One example method may include forming a resultant solution by reacting a solution of aramids dissolved in a solvent with an electrophile. In this regard, the electrophile may perform a side chain substitution on the dissolved aramids. The example method may further include electrospinning the resultant solution to form an aramid nanofiber.
