NONWOVEN FABRICS COMPRISING POLYLACTIC ACID AND SURFACE-TREATED CALCIUM CARBONATE
A process for the production of a nonwoven fabric. In particular, it relates to the production of a nonwoven fabric having desirable tactile and haptic as well as mechanical properties, as well as to the nonwoven fabric itself. The process requires the selection of specific polylactic acid polymers and corresponding process conditions.
PRODUCTION OF BIMODAL MOLECULAR WEIGHT POLY(HYDROXYALKANOATES)
A poly(hydroxyalkanoate) composition having a bimodal molecular weight distribution. The composition includes of a first portion and a second portion of a poly(hydroxyalkanoate). The first portion has a first weight average molecular weight and the second portion has a second weight average molecular weight which is at least 50 percent less than the first weight average molecular weight. The poly(hydroxyalkanoate) is made up of at least 10 mole percent monomer repeat units of 3-hydroxypropionate. A method for making the composition is also disclosed.
POLYMERS, METHOD FOR FABRICATING POLYMERS, AND PRODUCTS INCLUDING POLYMERS
A biodegradable polymer usable in fishing gear and that biodegrades in aquatic environments. The polymer includes a polymer backbone that has monomeric units that are susceptible to hydrolytic degradation, and a plurality of pH responsive moieties. Each pH responsive moiety is grafted to a respective one of the monomeric units. The pH responsive moieties are relatively hydrophilic when exposed to an aqueous solution of a pro-biodegradation pH range to facilitate hydrolytic degradation of the monomeric units, and are relatively hydrophobic when removed from the aqueous solution of the pro-biodegradation pH range, to protect the monomeric units from hydrolytic degradation.
BIO-BASED DEGRADABLE KNITTED FABRIC WITH ANTIBACTERIAL EFFECT
A biodegradable antibacterial knitted fabric, a cross section of the knitted fabric includes a front side of cross section made of wool short fiber yarns, an intermediate connection layer of cross section capable of transferring moisture and a rear side of cross section made of antibacterial filaments; the intermediate connection layer of cross section is made of filament yarns having a special shape capable of being inserted into the front side of cross section and the rear side of cross section so that the front side of cross section is connected with the rear side of cross section. The biodegradable antibacterial knitted fabric proposed by the present application has a long time significant antibacterial effect by adopting a cross section structure with three layers and antibacterial material, and does not contain any antimicrobials and metal ions, and has the advantages of low cost, easy manufacturing and long lasting antibacterial effect.
Polymer compositions, fibers and threads with petrolatum and/or oleic acid-containing oils
This invention relates to a polymer composition containing at least one polymer and at least one agent, formed bodies having such a polymer composition, the use of the formed bodies and polymer compositions, and corresponding threads, nonwoven materials, clothing articles, and medical aids.
Fabric
A process for producing a thermoformable and bondable fabric in which the fabric is biodegradable and/or compostable. The process comprises extruding a polymeric blend to form a plurality of filaments, the filaments collectively comprising the fabric.
Method for preparing a functionally gradient material for guided periodontal hard and soft tissue regeneration
A functionally gradient material for guided periodontal hard and soft tissue regeneration includes a 3D printed scaffold layer and an electrospun fibrous membrane layer. The content of hydroxyapatite in the 3D printed scaffold layer is higher than the content of hydroxyapatite in the electrospun fibrous membrane layer. The pore size of the 3D printed scaffold layer is larger than the pore size of the electrospun fibrous membrane layer. The pore size of the 3D printed scaffold layer is 100-1000 μm, and the fiber diameter of the electrospun fibrous membrane layer is 300-5000 nm. The electrospun fibrous membrane layer is in a random distribution or an oriented arrangement or has a mesh structure. The thickness of the electrospun fibrous membrane layer is 0.08-1 mm.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYMERIC MOLDED PRODUCT COMPRISING PRETREATMENT BY HEATING
An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a polymeric molded product, the method enabling expansion of a temperature range that can be used for partial melting. The present invention provides a method for producing a polymeric molded product, which comprises subjecting a crystalline polyhydroxyalkanoate to a heating treatment at a temperature equal to or higher than a glass transition temperature; and melt-molding a polyhydroxyalkanoate yielded by the heating treatment, which comprises lamellar crystals that are different in lamellar thickness, in a temperature range where some of the lamellar crystals undergo melting and flowing, and the other balance lamellar crystals remain unmelted.
ELECTROSPINNING COLLECTOR FOR THE PRODUCTION OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL ELECTROSPUN CONSTRUCTS
An electrospinning apparatus and method for producing three-dimensional electrospun constructs is disclosed. Further, electrospinning apparatus and method 3D electrospun collagen based mineralized nanofibrous scaffold for alveolar ridge preservation prior to dental implant therapy are disclosed.
POLYLACTIC ACID FIBER
A polylactic acid fiber is provided. The polylactic acid fiber includes a first polylactic acid material and a second polylactic acid material. The first polylactic acid material is encapsulated by the second polylactic acid material. Based on a total volume of the polylactic acid fiber being 100%, a volume of the second polylactic acid material is at least 20%. The second polylactic acid material includes 15 wt % to 85 wt % of poly(D-lactic acid) and 15 wt % to 85 wt % of poly(L-lactic acid).
