A nipper unit for use in a combing machine includes a nipper frame defining a support surface. A lower nipper plate abuts against the support surface. A first portion of the lower nipper plate is fastened to the nipper frame via a fastening screw and a second portion of the lower nipper plate projects beyond the support surface. An area of the lower nipper plate at a transition from the first portion to the second portion is connected to the nipper frame by a resilient seal.

A circular comb of a combing machine has a base body oriented parallel to a rotational axis of the circular comb, the base body including an inner support surface and a radially oriented opening. A comb element is disposed on an outer circumference of the base body, and a retaining element having a threaded bore is connected to the comb element. A threaded bolt has a threaded first section that engages into the threaded bore, a middle section that protrudes through the radially oriented opening the in base body, and a second end section supported on the inner support surface of the base body. A diameter of the first end section of the threaded bolt is smaller than a diameter of the middle section. A spring element is provided between the inner support surface of the base body and the second end section of the threaded bolt.
Fastening device for comb elements on a circular comb
A circular comb of a combing machine has a base body oriented parallel to a rotational axis of the circular comb, the base body including an inner support surface and a radially oriented opening. A comb element is disposed on an outer circumference of the base body, and a retaining element having a threaded bore is connected to the comb element. A threaded bolt has a threaded first section that engages into the threaded bore, a middle section that protrudes through the radially oriented opening the in base body, and a second end section supported on the inner support surface of the base body. A spring element is configured with the middle section of the fastening element and includes a first end supported on a support surface of the second end section of the fastening element, and a second end supported on the support surface of the base body. In one embodiment, the retaining element comprising a detent point into which the first end section of the fastening element is transferred by a longitudinal displacement of the fastening element against an elastic force of the spring element.
Circular comb comprising a guide element
A circular comb for a comber includes a basic body fastened on a shaft in a rotationally locked manner. A comb clothing is supported on an outer circumference of the basic body and includes clothing tips that define an outer enclosing circle. A guide element following the basic body viewed in a combing direction of the comb clothing includes a first guide surface that adjoins the basic body, is arranged within the enclosing circle, and has a radial clearance from the enclosing circle. The guide element includes a second guide surface that adjoins and forms an obtuse angle with the first guide surface. A length of the second guide surface is at least twice as great as a length of the first guide surface, as viewed in a circumferential direction of the circular comb.

A preparation device prepares a sample of textile fibers, in particular cotton fibers, applicable to analysis and/or measuring apparatuses respectively for analyzing and/or measuring characteristics of the textile fibers forming the sample. The preparation device includes a comb body that can be coupled in a sliding manner along a rectilinear guide that faces a perforated plate against which to press a mass of textile fibers forming protuberances projecting from the holes of the perforated plate. The comb body is arranged to grip tufts of textile fibers from such protuberances. The preparation device also includes at least one brush that is mounted in a sliding manner along a rectilinear guide facing the perforated plate and that is arranged to brush the textile fibers forming the protuberances before the comb body grips the tufts.

The present invention refers to a preparation device (10) for preparing a sample of textile fibers, in particular cotton fibers, applicable to analysis and/or measuring apparatuses respectively for analyzing and/or measuring characteristics of the textile fibers forming said sample, wherein the preparation device (10) comprises a comb body (11) that can be coupled in a sliding manner along a rectilinear guide (12) that faces a perforated plate (13) against which to press a mass (M) of textile fibers forming protuberances projecting from the holes of the perforated plate (13), wherein the comb body (11) is arranged to grip tufts of textile fibers from such protuberances and is characterized in that it comprises at least one brush (14) that is mounted in a sliding manner along a rectilinear guide facing the perforated plate (13) and that is arranged to brush the textile fibers forming the protuberances before the comb body grips said tufts.
Fastening Device for Comb Elements on a Circular Comb
The invention relates to a circular comb (1) of a combing machine, comprising a base body (5) which is situated in parallel to its rotation axis (D) and which has at least one comb element (K1-K4) resting on its outer circumference (U), and at least one retaining element (10, 40) which is connected to the comb element and which has at least one threaded bore (18) into which in each case a first end section (E1) of a threaded bolt (6) provided with a thread protrudes, the threaded bolt having a middle section (14) which protrudes through a radially oriented opening (12) in the base body (5), and the threaded bolt (6) being provided with a second end section (E2) with which it is supported on an inner support surface (26) of the base body (5) in the area of the particular opening (12), the cross-sectional area of the second end section (E2) extending, at least partially, beyond the cross-sectional area of the particular opening (12). To avoid warping of the comb clothings during the installation, it is proposed that the diameter (d1) of the first end section (E1) of the particular threaded bolt (6) is smaller than the diameter (d) of the middle section (14), and a spring element (30, 31) is provided between the inner support surface (26) of the base body (5) and the second end section (E2) of the threaded bolt (6).
Fastening Device for Comb Elements on a Circular Comb
The invention relates to a circular comb (1) of a combing machine, comprising a base body (5) and at least one comb element (K1-K4) which at least partially rests on the outer circumference (U) of the base body (5), and a retaining element (10), connected to the comb element, via which the comb element is held on the outer circumference of the base body, and at least one bolt-shaped fastening element (6a, 6b, 6c) which braces the retaining element (10) against the base body (5), a second end section (E4) [sic; first end section (E3)] of the particular fastening element protruding at least partially into the retaining element (10a), and an adjoining middle section (14) protruding at least partially into an opening (42) in the base body (5) oriented radially with respect to the circular comb, and a second end section (E4) which adjoins the middle section (14) of the particular fastening element and which is supported on a support surface (26) of the base body (5) in the area of the opening (42), the second end section (E4) extending at least partially beyond the cross-sectional area of the opening (42). For easier and more secure fastening of the comb elements, it is proposed that the middle section (14) of the fastening element (6) bears at least one spring element (30, 31), which with a first end is supported on a support surface (28) of the second end section (E2) of the fastening element (6) facing the middle section (14), and with its second end is supported on the oppositely situated support surface (26) of the base body (5), and the retaining element (10) has a detent point (W) for the first end section (E1) of the fastening element (6), into which the first end section (E1)) of the fastening element (6) is transferable by a longitudinal displacement of the fastening element by overcoming the elastic force of the spring element (30, 31).

A combing cylinder for a comber includes a cylinder shaft having threaded bores, and a base directly attached to the cylinder shaft. The base includes threaded bores formed in an inner surface of the base. The combing cylinder includes combing needles supported on an outer circumferential surface of the base and a balance weight directly attached to part of the cylinder shaft that is opposite from the part where the base is attached. The combing cylinder includes balance weight fixing bolts screwed to the threaded bores of the cylinder shaft to secure the balance weight to the cylinder shaft and base fixing bolts extending through the cylinder shaft and screwed to the threaded bores of the base to secure the base to the cylinder shaft. Each base fixing bolt includes a head, and the cylinder shaft includes in it a seat that receives the head.
Combing cylinder for comber
A combing cylinder of a comber includes a base and comb segments. The base includes mounting slots. Each comb segment includes a needle array and is detachably secured to the base via the associated mounting slot. The sizes of the needle arrays vary from one comb segment to another. The combing cylinder includes a cover. When at least one of the comb segments is detached from the base, the cover is mounted on the base to cover the mounting slot corresponding to the detached comb segment.
