METHOD AT A SPINNING MACHINE AND SPINNING MACHINE
20230228005 · 2023-07-20 ·

A method is performed at a spinning machine that includes a plurality of spinning stations at which different yarn lots are spun. The method transports tubes from multiple tube magazines to the spinning stations. At the spinning station, a yarn is spun from a sliver deposited in a can and is wound onto the tube. An identical marking associated with a respective one of the different yarn lots is provided on the following components: each of the tubes, each of the tube magazines, a display device at the spinning station, a monitor at a machine control system, the cans at the spinning station, and a service unit that travels alongside of the spinning stations.

A method controls a device configured on a textile machine, wherein the device is one or both of (1) a sensor of physical quantities having a primary function in a primary operating mode to detect a state at a workstation of the textile machine; or (2) an optical signaling device having a primary function in a primary operating mode to provide visual information about a state of a workstation, group of workstations, or the textile machine. The method includes targeted switching of the device to a secondary operating mode wherein the device performs a secondary function that is different from the primary function. After performance of the secondary function, the device is switched back to the primary operating mode.

A method and a handling unit (13) are utilized for transferring a sliver (8) from a sliver can (9) into a workstation (3) of a sliver (8) processing textile machine, in particular an open-end spinning machine (1). A plurality of identical workstations (3) are arranged next to one another and a handling unit (13) is displaceable along the plurality of workstations (3). In order to transfer the sliver (8), the handling unit (13) stops at the workstation (3), the sliver (8) is captured by the handling unit (13) at the sliver can (9), and the sliver (8) is transferred to a receiving unit of the workstation (3). After the sliver (8) has been transferred, the handling unit (13) releases the sliver (8) and leaves the workstation (3). After the sliver (8) has been released, a check is carried out to determine whether the sliver (8) has been completely removed from the handling unit (13). (FIG. 4)

Method for drafting spun yarns in three stages

The present invention relates to a method for drafting spun yarns in three stages. The method comprises drafting fiber strips to obtain fiber strands in the first-stage draft zone, drafting fiber strands to obtain non-discrete fiber bands without twist distribution in the second-stage draft zone, and drafting fiber bands to obtain twist less fiber assemblies in the third-stage draft zone. The methods optimize the maximum total draft ratio to obtain twist less fiber assemblies while maintaining evenness and required quality of resultant yarns.

A device for contactless measurement of one or more parameters of a linear textile formation (e.g., yarn) includes a yarn sensor with at least two mutually independent detection zones for one or a combination of the parameters of yarn presence, yarn movement, or yarn quality. The individual detections zones are arranged in defined positions relative to at least two different yarn paths of the yarn at a workstation depending on changed states of the yarn at the workstation so that at least one of the parameters is measured in each of the detections zones.
