Disclosed is a method for fabricating coils including the steps of providing a liquid droplet having a diameter on length-scales ranging from hundreds of micrometers to nanometers and bringing a fiber into contact with the liquid droplet, wherein the radius of the liquid droplet is sufficiently high in comparison to the bending elastocapillary length which is defined as where E is the Young's modulus of the elastic fiber, r is the radius of the fiber and γ is the interfacial tension between the droplet and surrounding medium, so that capillary forces induce the spontaneous winding of the fiber around the droplet, to fabricate a coil with a diameter in the range from hundreds of micrometers to nanometers. The present invention relates to a thermoplastic elastomer yarn with improved unwinding, weaving and yarn shrinking property, and a manufacturing method thereof. According to the present invention, the thermoplastic elastomer yarn according to the present invention is excellent in improved unwinding, weaving and yarn shrinking property. Furthermore, the thermoplastic elastomer yarn according to the present invention is excellent in yarn shrinkage rate, unwinding, weaving, tensile strength and elongation rate to be adequate for manufacturing textile fabric and footwear in terms of physical properties.

The filaments of the strand have natural coiling characteristics that are very similar to those of natural hair of black people, and these characteristics are caused by the facts that the filaments have 3-dimensional waveforms occurred due to many fine and irregular windings or projections and that the waveforms exhibit fractal structure features and a fine kinky texture.
