A protective textile sleeve and method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve includes a circumferentially continuous wall extending lengthwise along a longitudinal axis between opposite ends. The wall has a first section formed from a non-heat-shrinkable, non-elastic yarn and a second section formed from one of a heat-shrinkable or elastic yarn. The first section extends lengthwise between the opposite ends and spans (X) degrees about the circumference of the wall between opposite lengthwise extending edges while in an unshrunken or stretch. The second section extends lengthwise between the opposite ends and spans (360-X) degrees about the circumference of the wall. The heat-shrikable or elastic yarn of the second section extends continuously as an uninterupted yarn between the opposite edges of the first section.

A woven sleeve for routing and protecting an elongate member includes a wall having opposite edges extending lengthwise in generally parallel relation with a longitudinal central axis between opposite ends. The wall includes warp yarns extending lengthwise between the opposite ends and weft yarns extending circumferentially about the longitudinal central axis. At least some of the weft yarns are provided as bi-component yarns having a central core of heat-set material that biases the opposite edges into overlapping relation with one another, with an outer sheath encircling the central core. The central core and the outer sheath are different colors from one another, such that upon a portion of the outer sheath being split or worn, the central core becomes discernably visible.

A sleeve for the construction of a hose pipe extends about a longitudinal axis. The sleeve has greater elongation capacities in one direction than in the other with respect to the longitudinal axis.

IMPACT AND CUT-THROUGH RESISTANT, SELF-LOCATING, MULTILAYERED TEXTILE SLEEVE AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION THEREOF

A protective member for a wire harness and electrical member fixed thereto, a wire harness assembly, and a method of constructing a protective member for a wire harness and electrical member fixed thereto are provided. The protective member includes a tubular woven wall extending between opposite open ends about a central axis and a tubular braided wall fixed to the tubular woven wall. One end of the tubular woven wall is configured to overlie the electrical member to provide protection thereto, and the tubular braided wall extends away from the other of the opposite open ends of the tubular woven wall about the central axis for operable attachment a wire harness.

Electromagnetic protection sheath made of textile

An electromagnetic protection sheath made of textile (10) is formed by conductive filaments extending in a first direction (X) and non-conductive filaments interlaced with the conductive filaments. Use in particular for shielding cables in aeronautical applications.

A textile sleeve for routing and protecting an elongate member and method of construction thereof are provided. The sleeve has a wall with opposite edges extending lengthwise between opposite ends. The edges are configured to be wrapped about a central longitudinal axis to bound the elongate member within an enclosed cavity. The wall is formed of interlaced heat-resistant yarn with at least one hook-type fastener member along one of the edges and at least one loop-type fastener member along the other of the edges. The hook-type fastener member and the loop-type fastener member are configured to attach with one another to maintain the opposite edges in releasably fixed, overlapping relation with one another.

Protective tube

The application relates to the technical field of wiring accessories, in particular to a protective tube. The protective tube includes a tube wall and fluffy warp yarns, wherein the tube wall forms a pipeline for a cable to be threaded therein and includes cross-woven first warp yarns and first weft yarns; the fluffy warp yarns are on an inner surface of the tube wall and are fluffier than the first warp yarns, the fluffy warp yarns are cross-woven with the first weft yarns and form a plurality of intersections with the first weft yarns, and each of the fluffy warp yarns spans a plurality of the first weft yarns between two adjacent intersections. When the protective tube is subjected to external impact, the tube wall with stronger hardness can protect the cable; moreover, the fluffy warp yarn reduce the friction between the protective tube and the cable.

Impact resistant, wrappable, corrugated, multilayered woven sleeve and method of construction thereof

A wrappable, corrugated woven sleeve and method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve includes a wall having opposite edges wrapped about a central axis into overlapping relation with one another. The wall has a plurality of layers overlying one another. Each layer includes warp yarns extending generally parallel to the central axis woven with fill yarns extending generally transversely to the warp yarns. Each layer includes a plurality of annular first bands and a plurality of annular second bands alternating with one another along the length of the wall. The first bands of each layer include monofilament weft yarn and multifilament weft yarn and the second bands of each layer include only one of monofilament weft yarn or multifilament weft yarn. The first bands overlie one another to form peaks and the second bands B overlie one another to form valleys, such that the wall has a corrugated contour.
