CONTROLLABLE LIQUID TRANSPORT MATERIAL, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THEREOF
Provided herein are a controllable liquid transport material, a controllable liquid transport system and a method for preparing a controllable liquid transport material, where a first region of the controllable liquid transport material is treated to be hydrophobic, while a plurality of second regions partially contacted or completely separated with different shapes are treated to have a gradient or varied wettabilities and/or pore sizes for passively controllable liquid transport, and/or integrated with a smart material for actively controllable liquid transport driven by an external force, allowing efficiently and controllably directional transport of a liquid e.g., sweat. The controllable liquid transport system comprises a controllable liquid transport material used as a liquid transport layer and a breathable, waterproof protective layer.
No Sweat Marks Fabric with Moisture Management Function
Examples of a knitted or woven fabric with moisture management function are described, comprising a face fabric layer with a durable water repellency (DWR) additives forming a fabric outer surface that is hydrophobic and a back fabric layer comprising a second yarn that is highly hydrophilic forming a moisture regain core to absorb the moisture and spread it across on an inside surface of the back fabric layer. The outer (face) layer of the fabric is hydrophobic due to the added DWR additives to the first yarn while the inner (back) layer of the fabric is highly hydrophilic that absorbs and spreads the moisture across the inner side of the back layer so that it dries faster making the outer surface of the face fabric layer dry thus reducing the occurrence of water I liquid spots on the face layer outer surface.
WATER-REPELLING FABRIC, AND TEXTILE PRODUCT
The invention addresses the problem of providing a water-repellent cloth that is excellent in water repellency as well as stretchability and also a textile product using the water-repellent cloth. A means for resolution is a water-repellent cloth given water repellent processing, and the cloth is configured to include a composite yarn containing a stretch fiber and an ultrafine fiber having a single fiber fineness of 1 dtex or less.
UNITARY WOVEN FABRIC CONSTRUCT OF MULTIPLE ZONES
A fabric construct consists of a woven fabric of weft and warp yarns, and the fabric has an area defined by plurality of zones consisting of at least one zone of a first zone type, optionally, at least one zone of a second zone type; and at least one zone of a third zone type. The third zone is a transition zone disposed adjacent the first and/or second zones. All the zones are formed in a unitary woven construct, with adjacent zones seamlessly joined together. The transition zone includes a plurality of bands of sets of weft and/or warp yarns that collectively provide a progressive transition for an attribute of the first zone type through at least the transition zone and to the second zone type, if present. The fabric construct may be used in various end products and is particularly suited for use in apparel applications.
HIGH-PERFORMANCE FABRIC FOR WATER/DIESEL SEPARATING FILTERS
A fabric for use in filters separating water from a water/diesel emulsion, and a method of using such a fabric, where the fabric has a rectangular mesh, the sides of which are formed by respective threads. In comparison with prior art fabrics for water/diesel filters, the fabric of the invention offers the advantage of having a higher separation efficiency, thus allowing separation of diesel with a lower residual water content downstream of the filter.

ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIVE BI-COMPONENT META FIBER TEXTILES AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
A bimorph meta fiber is formed through spinning of two antagonistic polymer melts, one of which contains pre-compounded optical nanostructures, into an eccentric sheath-core configuration or a side-by-side key-lock configuration. The bimorph meta fiber is capable of an adaptive regulation of the infrared radiation responsive to humidity level deviation from a comfort zone or perspiration level of the wearer of the garment fabricated from the meta fibers. The bimorph meta fibers are humidity/heat trained to attain dynamical environmentally responsive behavior to maintain the humidity/thermal comfort zone at various the humidity level fluctuations.

Fabric with Moisture Management Function
A knitted or woven fabric with moisture management function is described that includes an inner layer having a first yarn that is semi-hydrophilic with a first moisture regain, and an outer layer having a second yarn that is hydrophilic with a second moisture regain greater than the first moisture regain of the first yarn. The fabric has a moisture regain gradient between the inner layer and the outer layer that acts to pull moisture through the inner layer in contact with the wearer’s skin and out through the outer layer. In one embodiment, the second yarn is a combination of a core bi-component yarn and at least one outer sheath yarn surrounding the core bi-component yarn.
