Fabric with enhanced response characteristics for laser finishing
A fabric has enhanced response characteristics for laser finishing. The fabric can be denim for denim apparel such as jeans. Software and lasers are used to finish apparel made of the fabric to produce a desired wear or distressing pattern or other design. The fabric allows for relatively fast color change in response to the laser, color changes in hue from indigo blue to white, many grayscale levels, and maintains strength and stretch properties. A method used to make the fabric includes spinning, dyeing, and weaving yarns in such a way to obtain the desired enhanced response characteristics for laser finishing.

Light spectrum-modifying netting for use in citrus fruit production
A photo-selective light spectrum-modifying net for use in citrus fruit production, the net comprising a woven array of parallel and mutually spaced first threads and an array of parallel and mutually spaced second threads, the second threads being inclined to the first threads to define an array of openings between the first and second threads, wherein the first threads are uncolored and composed of a first polymer which is selected from a polymer incorporating a white pigment or dye, a transparent polymer or a translucent polymer, and the second threads are colored red and composed of a second polymer which incorporates a red pigment or dye, the second threads being adapted to transmit, scatter and reflect electromagnetic radiation in the wavelength range of from 640 to 680 nm. Also disclosed is a method of producing citrus fruit using the net.

SENSORS, INTERFACES AND SENSOR SYSTEMS FOR DATA COLLECTION AND INTEGRATED MONITORING OF CONDITIONS AT OR NEAR BODY SURFACES
Sensing devices including sensors such as flexible and stretchable fabric-based pressure sensors, may be associated with or incorporated in garments, such as socks, intended to be worn against a body surface (directly or indirectly). Specific manifestations of a sensing system incorporated in a sock substrate are described in detail. Dedicated electronic devices interface electrically with sensors through intermediate conductive traces, optional conductive bridges, conductive contacts provided in a mounting tab.
WEBBING WITH CONCEALED EDGES
An exemplary webbing is formed from a plurality of warp yarns woven together with a plurality of weft yarns. The webbing extends from an outside edge to a needled edge. The outside edge is formed by the weaving of the warp yarns and weft yarns, and the needled edge is formed by the weaving of the warp yarns, weft yarns, and at least one catch cord. The warp yarns and weft yarns are dyed a first color. At least one warp yarn proximate the outside edge is dyed a second color and the at least catch cord is dyed a third color, the second and third colors being darker than the first color.
Fabric woven by imitating warp knitting
A fabric woven by imitating warp knitting, which includes first warps, second warps, first wefts, and second wefts; the first warps and the first wefts are interlaced to form the face of the fabric, and the second warps and the second wefts are interlaced to form the back of the fabric; and 7 to 15 weft interlacing points are arranged between each two adjacent groups of warp interlacing points on the second warps. The fabric woven by imitating warp knitting in the present invention has not only the appearance style of woven fabrics but also the characteristics of good air permeability and good hand feel of warp-knitted fabrics.
SELF-WRAPPING WOVEN SLEEVE WITH WEAR INDICATOR YARNS AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION THEREOF
A woven sleeve for routing and protecting an elongate member includes a wall having opposite edges extending lengthwise in generally parallel relation with a longitudinal central axis between opposite ends. The wall includes warp yarns extending lengthwise between the opposite ends and weft yarns extending circumferentially about the longitudinal central axis. At least some of the weft yarns are provided as bi-component yarns having a central core of heat-set material that biases the opposite edges into overlapping relation with one another, with an outer sheath encircling the central core. The central core and the outer sheath are different colors from one another, such that upon a portion of the outer sheath being split or worn, the central core becomes discernably visible.
