POLYCRYSTALLINE ALUMINOSILICATE CERAMIC FILAMENT NONWOVEN MATS, AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
A nonwoven article includes a plurality of electrospun polycrystalline, aluminosilicate ceramic filaments that form a cohesive nonwoven mat. Each of the aluminosilicate ceramic filaments in the mat have an average diameter of about 200 nm to about 1000 nm as determined with electron microscopy, and the aluminosilicate ceramic filaments have an average crystalline mullite content of about 15 wt % to about 80 wt %.
Device for moulding fibrous material
A device for producing a 3 dimensional shaped consolidated product. The device includes a rotary drum, defined as a rotary conveyor with a peripheral surface extending in circumferential direction with at least one product shaping area in the form of a cavity on said peripheral surface, the peripheral surface is pervious to air at least in the product shaping area, at least one material feed device to feed a base material into the at least one cavity, a vacuum device designed to generate a negative pressure at least in the at least one cavity, whereby the generated suction is directed towards the interior of the rotary conveyor, and whereby downstream of the material feed device at least one consolidating device is located such that at least a part of the filled cavity is subjected to a consolidating treatment whereby the base material at least partly will adhere to neighboring material.
RECYCLABLE 3D SHAPED PRODUCT FROM AN AIR-LAID BLANK
A 3D shaped product (20) is formed by hot pressing of an air-laid blank (10) comprising natural fibers at a concentration of at least 70% by weight of the air-laid blank and a thermoplastic polymer binder at a concentration selected within an interval of from 2.5 up to 30% by weight of the air-laid blank. The 3D shaped product (20) is recyclable in a repulping process. At least a part of the thermoplastic polymer binder is water soluble at a repulping temperature of the repulping process. The 3D shaped product (20) are environmentally friendly alternatives to plastic 3D shaped products made by foamed polymers and can be recycled in existing recycling schemes.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL FOAM-LAID NONWOVENS
A high topography nonwoven substrate includes synthetic binder fibers; a planar base layer having an X-Y surface and a backside surface opposite the X-Y surface; and a plurality of projection elements integral with and protruding in a Z-direction from the X-Y surface, wherein each projection element has a height, a diameter or width, a cross-section, a sidewall, a proximal end where the projection element meets the base layer, and a distal end opposite the proximal end, wherein the projection elements are distributed in both the X- and Y-directions, and wherein the density of a projection element is the same as the density of the base layer.
Nonwoven havng a corrugated structure, intermediate product, and method for producing a nonwoven having a corrugated structure
The invention relates to a three-dimensional structured nonwoven, which is formed from staple fibers (F1, F2, F3). In order to be able to produce such a nonwoven using simple means, the invention proposes providing groove channels (R) on at least one of its surfaces (O), which channels are milled into the surface (O) provided with the groove channels.
Volume nonwoven fabric
A nonwoven fabric has a volume-giving material, in particular fiber balls, down and/or fine feathers, and has a maximum tensile strength, measured according to DIN EN 29 073 at a mass per unit area of 50 g/m.sup.2 in at least one direction, of at least 0.3 N/5 cm, in particular of 0.3 N/5 cm to 100 N/5 cm.
Nonwoven material
A material including at least one nonwoven layer of fibers is provided comprising textured yarns, preferably knit-deknit yarns. The textured yarns included in the material enables the mechanical properties of the material to be adjusted to enable the material to conform to high local deformations.
SYSTEMS AND APPARATUSES TO FACILITATE DISPENSING OF EYELASHES OVER AN EYE OF A USER
Disclosed herein is an apparatus to facilitate dispensing of eyelashes over an eye of a user, in accordance with some embodiments. Further, the apparatus may include a main body including an enclosed volume. Further, the apparatus may include an eyelash storage and delivery mechanism configured to store and deliver eyelashes over the eye of the user. Further, the eyelash storage and delivery mechanism may include a lash storage mechanism configured to store multiple strands of eyelashes, a conveyor belt configured to carry the multiple strands of eyelashes to a rotary member, wherein the rotary member may be configured to receive the multiple strands of eyelashes from the conveyor belt and deposit the multiple strands of eyelashes over the eye of the user through rotation. Further, the apparatus may include an adhesive storage and delivery mechanism configured for storage and delivery of adhesive over the multiple strands of eyelashes.
Composites and articles made from nonwoven structures
The present invention generally relates to composites and articles made from nonwoven structures. One aspect of the invention is generally directed to nonwoven structures which are heated and/or pressed to form a substantially rigid article. In some cases, the nonwoven structure may be heated to temperatures greater than the glass transition temperature but less than the melting temperature of a polymer within the nonwoven structure. Such articles may exhibit creep of the polymer around other fibers in the nonwoven structure, but without any evidence of melting and/or flow. In addition, in some embodiments, such articles may have relatively large void volumes, or exhibit properties such as low flammability, smoke resistance, or acoustic insulation. Other aspects of the present invention are generally directed to systems and methods for making such articles, methods of use of such articles, kits comprising such articles, etc.
