Containment closure method for containing friable material and contained friable material
A method for forming an article where a friable material is supported by or enclosed by a non-friable material. The article comprises one or more layers of non-friable fibers surrounding the friable material fibers wherein at least some of the non-friable fibers are oriented in a Z plane and at least some of the non-friable fibers are oriented in an XY plane. The fibers are oriented in the Z plane via a felting process such as needle punching through the assembly of the article. The resulting article is a non-woven article even where one or more layer for the article was provided as woven or non-woven layer of fibers.
Felt, soundproofing material and method for producing soundproofing material
The invention provides a soundproofing material having excellent heat resistance, and, as a felt that is moldable into a soundproofing material at a low temperature, a felt which contains 10 mass % to 90 mass % of an unstretched thermoplastic resin fiber, and has a thickness of 0.05 mm to 100 mm, and an areal weight of 50 g/m.sup.2 to 2 kg/m.sup.2.

Textile stuffer box and method for texturing yarn
A textile stuffer box comprises a housing assembly having a yarn entrance and a yarn exit, and cooperating interior chamber-forming surfaces. The chamber-forming surfaces defines a multi-stage internal crimping chamber for receiving and accumulating a moving length of ply-twisted yarn between the entrance and exit of the housing assembly. The crimping chamber comprising an upstream fixed-volume stage and a downstream adjustable-volume stage. A weight-balanced gate selectively adjusts a volume of the downstream adjustable-volume stage of the crimping chamber, thereby controlling axial compression of yarn accumulating inside the upstream fixed-volume stage of the crimping chamber.
Methods of manufacturing synthetic bales
A method of manufacturing a synthetic bale, including the steps of heating a mixture of a first plurality of fibers with a second plurality of fibers to cause the first plurality of fibers and the second plurality of fibers to thermally bond with one another to create bonded fibers, directing the bonded fibers into a forming chamber, and outputting the bonded fibers into a sheath configured for use as a synthetic ground-based bale.
FABRIC
A graphene-infused fabric is provided as a sound reducing acoustic layer for object such as a pickleball paddle. The graphene-infused fabric is made from polymer fibers, at least one of which is a graphene-infused polymer fiber. Graphene is blended into a polymer material, and fibers are manufactured from said material such as by extrusion. The graphene-infused polymer is combined with other fibers to be made into a woven or non-woven fabric.
