Fibrous structure-containing articles that exhibit consumer relevant properties
Articles, such as sanitary tissue products, including fibrous structures, and more particularly articles including fibrous structures having a plurality of fibrous elements wherein the article exhibits differential cellulose content throughout the thickness of the article and methods for making same are provided.
Sheet manufacturing method
A sheet manufacturing method includes a mixing step of mixing a fiber and a resin powder in air, and a sheet forming step of accumulating and heating a mixture mixed in the mixing step to form a sheet. The resin powder has a volume average particle diameter of equal to or less than 50 μm, and an absolute value of an average charging amount in a range of 5 (μC/g) to 40 (μC/g).

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COMPOSITE FIBER PREFORM FOR DISC BRAKES
An example method includes forming an interlayer on a carbon fiber fabric to form a composite fiber fabric. The interlayer comprises a binder. The method further includes winding the composite fiber fabric around a core to form a composite fiber preform comprising a plurality of layers defining an annulus extending along a central axis. The method further includes densifying the composite fiber preform.
Fiber processing device and fiber body manufacturing apparatus
A fiber processing device includes a drum having a plurality of openings on an outer peripheral surface, sieving a raw material containing fibers, and configured to rotate about a rotation axis, a housing that supports the drum, a guide portion (convex portion) provided on an outer peripheral surface of the drum; and a restriction portion (bearing) that restricts movement of the drum in a direction of the rotation axis by contacting the convex portion. At least one of the restriction portion and the guide portion is configured to rotate about an axis (rotation axis) orthogonal to the rotation axis.
Process for the manufacture of an insulating product based on mineral fibres
A process for the manufacture of an insulating product based on mineral fibres bonded by an organic binder, includes applying a sizing composition to the mineral fibres, forming an assembly of the mineral fibres, heating the assembly of mineral fibres until the sizing composition has cured, wherein the sizing composition includes the following constituents within the limits defined below, expressed as fractions by weight with respect to the total weight of the composition: from 80% to 98% of water, from 2% to 20% of water-soluble poly(furfuryl alcohol) and less than 0.5% of furfuryl alcohol, and the mineral fibres are fibres of aluminosilicate glass including aluminum oxide, Al.sub.2O.sub.3, in a fraction by weight of between 14% and 28%.
LAYERED NONWOVEN TEXTILE AND METHOD OF FORMING THE SAME
Layered nonwoven textile containing a first layer (T) of filaments, which contains endless filaments containing a first carrier polymer (A1) and a first binding polymer (B1), which forms at least a part of surface of said endless filaments and which has a melting temperature at least 5° C. lower than the first carrier polymer (A1), wherein the first layer (T) of filaments contains bonding points in a spaced arrangement, wherein the bonding points interconnect the filaments and are formed by the first binding polymer (B1), a second layer (M) of filaments, which contains filaments containing a carrier material, the stiffness of which is lower than the stiffness of the first carrier polymer (A1), and a second binding polymer (B2), which has a melting temperature at least 5° C., preferably at least 10° C., lower than the carrier material and the first carrier polymer (A1), wherein the second layer (M) of filaments contains bonding points in a spaced arrangement, wherein the bonding points interconnect the filaments of the second layer (M) and are formed by the second binding polymer (B1).
BINDING MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MOLDED BODY
A binding material to obtain a molded body by binding fibers to each other, includes a thermoplastic resin and a fluorescent whitener, and the fluorescent whitener has a melting point higher than a fusing point of the thermoplastic resin. The melting point of the fluorescent whitener is preferably 200° C. or more. A content of the fluorescent whitener in the binding material is preferably 1.0 percent by mass or less. The binding material preferably further includes a white pigment.
LAMINATE FOR USE IN AN ABSORBENT ARTICLE
A laminate including a substrate layer and a fibrous layer. The fibrous layer includes cellulose fibers and irregularly shaped lumps of a hotmelt material. The lumps of hotmelt material may at least partially bond the cellulose fibers together, thus increasing the integrity and resilience of the fibrous layer.
FIBROUS LAYER WITH HOTMELT COATING COMPOSITION
A fibrous layer having a first side and an opposed second side. The fibrous layer includes a hotmelt composition that at least partially coats and binds the fibers of the fibrous layer at the surface of at least one of the first side and second side.
