QUILTED BORDER LOOP SIDEWALL PANEL FOR BED MATTRESS OR FOUNDATION AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
A method is provided for making, with a programmable multi-needle quilting machine, a quilted border loop sidewall panel for a bed mattress or foundation. The method involves executing programming on the machine to run a stitch pattern having a repeat length equal to or greater than a length of a side or end of the mattress or foundation, and preferably corresponding to the length around its perimeter. The stitch pattern presented in the programmed pattern repeat length includes a “prime pattern” having plural stitch pattern elements arranged to provide aperiodic pattern element variation along its length, which length is also equal to or greater than the length of the side or end of the mattress. Once made, the border loop sidewall panel is integrated into a mattress or foundation such that the pattern elements are placed in predetermined registry with selected other portions of the mattress or foundation. In this manner, it is possible to form a desired, reproducible aesthetic effect with high production efficiency.
AUTOMATIC MATTRESS STERILIZATION DEVICE
Provided is an automatic mattress sterilization apparatus configured to sterilize a mattress, including a frame extending in one direction and on which the mattress is placed, a sterilization part coupled to an upper portion of the frame and having an inner space through which the mattress passes, and a moving part provided in the frame and configured to move the mattress placed on the frame, and the mattress is moved from one side of the sterilization part to the other side of the sterilization part via the inner space of the sterilization part by the moving part.
MATTRESS COVERS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
A mattress cover includes a fabric substrate having a top surface, a foot portion, a first side portion, and a second side portion, wherein the foot portion, the first side portion, and the second side portion each have two edges, wherein at least a portion of one edge of the foot portion is stitched or sewn together with one edge of the first side portion, and wherein at least a portion of a second edge of the foot portion is stitched or sewn together with one edge of the second side portion.

Method and apparatus for making a fitted sheet
A protective cover is made from a piece of cloth cut from a textile web that is initially held at first and second points by respective first and second devices in the vicinity of a corner near respective first and second outer edges forming the corner. The first point is then moved parallel to a plane and above of the piece of cloth to the second point at the second outer edge under entrainment of a corresponding region of the piece of cloth to form a cloth flap shaped as a right triangle having a hypotenuse extending between the points, a first leg forming an extension of the second outer edge of the piece of cloth, and a second leg. The cloth flap is then seamed along the second leg and then cut along a line of the seam. Thereafter the cover thus formed is released at the points.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MAKING A FITTED SHEET
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing fitted bedsheets, in which: rectangular sheet pieces (9) are cut; each corner (1,5) of the sheet pieces (9) is folded in on itself, the portions that are folded in on themselves are joined by a seam at a distance from the tip of the corner (1,5) of the sheet piece; and the tip projecting beyond the seam is cut off, forming a rectangular-shaped sheet piece (11), wherein the sheet piece (9) is held at each corner (1,5) at two holding points (2, 3; 6, 7), the first holding point (2; 6) on the first peripheral edge (13,13′) is moved parallel to a plane covered by the sheet piece to the second holding point (3; 7) on the second peripheral edge (14,14′), together with the associated portion of the sheet piece (9); and the holding points (2′, 3; 6′, 7) are held one on top of the other and a sheet flap in the shape of a right-angled triangle is formed, said sheet flap being provided with the seam (18) along the second leg (17) of the triangle then being cut off next to the seam (18) following the line of the latter.
Mattress cover border panel
A multi-needle quilting machine is provided with a tape or ribbon guide that is operated by a method by which a narrow strip is fed against a facing layer of a wide multi-layered material as it is fed into the quilting machine. In the quilting machine, series of chain stitches are sewn, at least one of which joins the tape and layers of the multi-layered material together with the same thread in a quilting process, thereby applying the tape to the quilted product in a single quilting operation without the need for a post-quilting tape application step. The tape may form a decorative strip or have unsewn sections that serve as handles for a mattress when the quilted product is formed into a mattress cover.
COVERS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
A cover includes a fabric substrate including a top surface, foot portion, first side portion, and second side portion. At least a portion of a first edge of the foot portion is stitched or sewn together with at least a portion of the first side portion. At least a portion of a second edge of the foot portion is stitched or sewn together with at least a portion of the second side portion. At least a portion of a head portion of the cover is disposed along a bottom surface of the fabric substrate. At least a portion of a first edge of the head portion of the cover is stitched or sewn together with an outer edge of the first side portion and at least a portion of a second edge of the head portion is stitched or sewn together with an outer edge of the second side portion.
