Disclosed are various systems and features for use with a machine, such as a sewing machine, to facilitate augmented-reality features such as projecting assistive visual elements or virtual UI elements into an operational area. Such systems and features may be useful in the context of performing an action along a self-guided path on a substrate.

A sewing machine determines a pattern from multiple patterns, as a first pattern. The sewing machine generates a projection image including a first image representing a sewing image of the first pattern in a sewing expected size thereof. The sewing machine projects the generated projection image onto a projection area. The sewing machine sews the first pattern on a workpiece in the sewing expected size based on pattern data for the first pattern.

A sewing machine determines a pattern from multiple patterns, as a first pattern. The sewing machine generates a projection image including a first image representing a sewing image of the first pattern in a sewing expected size thereof. The sewing machine projects the generated projection image onto a projection area. The sewing machine sews the first pattern on a workpiece in the sewing expected size based on pattern data for the first pattern.

A memory of a sewing machine stores a plurality of notification conditions for notifying an information processing device of an extent of progress of sewing of the embroidery pattern. The notification conditions include a first notification condition for notifying that the extent of progress is a first extent and a second notification condition for notifying that the extent of progress is a second extent. The sewing machine transmits, to the information processing device, first extent information indicating the first extent, when the sewing machine determines that the first notification condition is satisfied. The sewing machine transmits, to the information processing device, the second extent information indicating the second extent, when the sewing machine determines that the second notification condition is satisfied.

A memory of a sewing machine stores a plurality of notification conditions for notifying an information processing device of an extent of progress of sewing of the embroidery pattern. The notification conditions include a first notification condition for notifying that the extent of progress is a first extent and a second notification condition for notifying that the extent of progress is a second extent. The sewing machine transmits, to the information processing device, first extent information indicating the first extent, when the sewing machine determines that the first notification condition is satisfied. The sewing machine transmits, to the information processing device, the second extent information indicating the second extent, when the sewing machine determines that the second notification condition is satisfied.

A data storage unit configured to store a coordinate data of a needle location and an added coordinate data creating unit configured to create a new coordinate data by adding independent original values respectively to an X-coordinate value or a Y-coordinate value for each of the coordinate data stored in the data storage unit are provided. The added coordinate data creating unit makes the independent original values added respectively to the X-coordinate value or the Y-coordinate value of the coordinate data in one needle location same as the independent original values added respectively to the X-coordinate value or the Y-coordinate value of the coordinate data in the other needle location when a distance between the coordinate data of the one needle location and the coordinate data of the other needle location stored in the data storage unit is within a predetermined distance.

A data storage unit configured to store a coordinate data of a needle location and an added coordinate data creating unit configured to create a new coordinate data by adding independent original values respectively to an X-coordinate value or a Y-coordinate value for each of the coordinate data stored in the data storage unit are provided. The added coordinate data creating unit makes the independent original values added respectively to the X-coordinate value or the Y-coordinate value of the coordinate data in one needle location same as the independent original values added respectively to the X-coordinate value or the Y-coordinate value of the coordinate data in the other needle location when a distance between the coordinate data of the one needle location and the coordinate data of the other needle location stored in the data storage unit is within a predetermined distance.

In an added coordinate data creating unit, when coordinate data of two sequential needle locations in a sewing order stored in a data storage unit is the coordinate data of a final needle location of one collective pattern and the coordinate data of a first needle location of another collective pattern sewn immediately after the one collective pattern, a added coordinate data creating unit is configured to create a new coordinate data by adjusting independent original values added respectively to the coordinate data of the final needle location of the one collective pattern and the coordinate data of the first needle location of the another collective pattern sewn immediately after the one collective pattern so that a connecting portion between the one collective pattern and the another collective pattern sewn immediately after the one collective pattern is connected smoothly.

In an added coordinate data creating unit, when coordinate data of two sequential needle locations in a sewing order stored in a data storage unit is the coordinate data of a final needle location of one collective pattern and the coordinate data of a first needle location of another collective pattern sewn immediately after the one collective pattern, a added coordinate data creating unit is configured to create a new coordinate data by adjusting independent original values added respectively to the coordinate data of the final needle location of the one collective pattern and the coordinate data of the first needle location of the another collective pattern sewn immediately after the one collective pattern so that a connecting portion between the one collective pattern and the another collective pattern sewn immediately after the one collective pattern is connected smoothly.

A data storage unit configured to store a sewing order and a coordinate data of a needle location in association with each other; a coordinate data adding unit configured to create the coordinate data of a new needle location on a line connecting three or more continuous needle locations in a sewing order stored in the data storage unit in accordance with a distance from the needle locations located at both ends of the line to the needle location located at an inside of the both ends when the three or more continuous needle locations are on the line; and an added coordinate data creating unit configured to create a new coordinate data by adding independent original values to the X-coordinate value or the Y-coordinate value in each of the coordinate data are provided.
