METHOD FOR WET PROCESSING OF HEMP FIBERS
20220396904 · 2022-12-15 · ·

A method for wet processing of hemp fibers for commercial use is provided. The method includes steps of loading raw hemp fibers with water into a vessel and heating the contents of the vessel. The method also includes the addition of a sequence of certain chemical compounds, which include a scouring agent, a wetting agent, a caustic compound, an acidic compound, a lubricant, and a softening agent. The water may be heated to boiling during the process to aid in opening up the fibers during processing. Peroxide is not utilized in the process. The process produces commercially viable quantities of hemp fibers that are soft, clean, and easily spinnable while maintaining fiber burst strength.

The present application relates to the field of textiles, and particularly discloses an antibacterial fiber, a preparation method thereof, and an antibacterial textile product. A preparation method of an antibacterial fiber includes the steps of: opening textile fibers, and spraying the textile fibers with organic complex copper solution by a mass ratio of the organic complex copper solution to the textile fiber of 1:(2-4) to provide an antibacterial fiber. An antibacterial fiber made by the preparation method and a textile product made from the antibacterial fiber are further disclosed in the present application.

Method for decolorization of dyed polyester fiber

A method for decolorization of a dyed polyester fiber is provided. The method for decolorization of a dyed polyester fiber includes step of: providing an ether-alcohol solvent and a polyester fiber containing a dye; heating the ether-alcohol solvent up to a boiling point of the ether-alcohol solvent to continuingly generate a fresh gas; wherein a temperature of the fresh gas ranges from 90 C. to 200 C. which is between a glass transition temperature of the polyester fiber and a melting point of the polyester fiber; extracting the dye from the polyester fiber via the fresh gas and forming an extracting condensate containing the dye; reflowing the extracting condensate back into the ether-alcohol solvent; repeating the steps mentioned above to obtain a decolorized polyester fiber.

Wet friction material production methods

A method of producing a friction material. The method includes mixing silica containing filler particles and a liquid binder to form a binder-filler liquid mixture. The method also includes saturating a fibrous base material with the binder-filler liquid mixture to form a saturated fibrous base material. The method further includes curing the saturated fibrous base material at a predetermined temperature for a predetermined time to cure the saturated fibrous base material to form the friction material.
